Is your wife/partner aware of your implant ?

Postby str84wd » Sat Aug 17, 2024 7:19 pm

My surgeon and many others stated that many bionic men manged to hide that they are implanted for years even from their wives. I'm one of those who decided not to reveal it and my wife didn't know that I went through a surgery. So I created a poll to explore of there are men who were discreet about it!!

Str84wd,
So, let me see if I understand.
You had ED. She didn't know?
You had the implant surgery, she didn't know?
After the surgery, "penis erectus", and she didn't see or feel the change?
Hmmmm, interesting.

I’m not sure what my wife knows, thinks, or suspects. Here’s how it went down:

My wife has ALWAYS known about the ED. Back when we first figured something wasn’t quite right and doctors were telling me it was all in my head, I took her with me when they did dye imaging and pressure testing. With me flat on my back things looked within normal limits, but she told the urologist to put me on my knees and get me to simulate a thrust, that is when his hardness starts to dissipate.

They did and I did and the test results confirmed a pretty bad leak and they decided to put me on injections right away.

Thus was in the mid-80s. Goldstein’s book “The Potent Male” was sort of like our road map of what we might end up having to do. In the first couple of editions it looked pretty likely that vascular surgery was on the horizon.

By the year 2000 I had been on shots or shots+pills for 13 years so I went in for a big work up…hoping they were going to advocate venous ligation, a crural tuck, maybe rerouting some additional arterial flow. I was pretty bummed that the doctors’ consensus was that surgeries of that type would be a waste of time & effort. Lol in retrospect what one of the doctors said was prophetic and funny. He told me “don’t sweat it, in 20 years you’re going to have an implant, it’ll work better than you’d ever believe, and you’ll be thrilled with it.” That was in 2000-On Dec 31, 2019 I got my implant and everything he said was true.

I scheduled my surgery for that day because we had hit our insurance’s catastrophic cap in 2019 so I had no out of pocket cost. My wife had plans for her and daughter to go see relatives in Louisiana after XMas & over New Years. So I told her I was having a minor surgical procedure to hopefully fix the ED once and for all. She wanted to cancel trip but I insisted it was minor, maybe even just a local, I’d be fine, not to sweat it. Go and have a good time.

I don’t make a show of inflating and can actually be pretty discreet about doing it. I have no idea how much research she’s done on ED lately. I’m 68 and she’s 66 and she has her own aging issues to battle so I doubt scholarly papers on dicks and ED are high up on her reading list.

So yeah, she knows I had a surgical procedure to fix my ED. Does she know it’s an implant/prosthesis? I don’t know. She seems quite pleased that no more shots/no more pills/no more vials if Trimix in refrigerator/no preloaded syringes in baggage when we travel.

I’ve not lied. I just haven’t told her everything I know. Thus far past surgery it’s tough to remember what things were like in the bad old days. About the only thing she has said a while back, I was wandering around the house looking for some gym shorts, she asked “has your dick always been that big when not erect?” I told her no, it seems to hang a bit better as I’ve gotten older but as she can tell it hasn’t changed when erect.

But why are you afraid to tell your 66 year old wife of over 30 years?
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is sexual health expert Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. I also have mild BPH

It's just the surgery that was done during summer when we were in different cities.
Obviously, ED was known but we didn't suffer a lot (years of no sex) bcoz I was on pills and injections.
She knew that I did a minor surgery to improve blood circulation and not that I have an implant. What was noticed is the great consistence performance ;)

My G/F knows and has 1/2 assed supported me on this journey, meaning she treated the wound, was there before and after the surgery, but her most famous statement is "don't get the damn thing for me" so you can figure how much "fun" we have had with my new toy ... lol

I’m not afraid. I’m not really scared of much of anything.

And you might think my reasoning is stupid. But that’s okay.

She probably knows it’s an implant. I doubt people who have prosthetic limbs and such dwell on them in conversation.

But if she doesn’t…..where is the harm in me letting her think I am just as hard (or harder) for her in our late 60s than I was in my mid 20s?

I snuggle up behind her in bed with a stiff cock poking her in the back…..depending on just how much she knows or doesn’t know that could be seen as pretty flattering.

The truth remains that despite having to use a pump to assist she stirs me up now like she did 40 years ago.

I guess I don't get it. My wife has been through the entire 25-year ED journey with me and I bored her to tears  talking about the implant, before and now after. But, to each their own, right?
ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.

If you’re just now realizing that no two women are alike and any man who thinks he has women figured out is a fool I’m not sure what to say.

I haven’t deceived Mrs. TxAg in any way, shape, or form. She was a real trooper for 35 years +/- with the ED battle.

I told her I was having the ED surgically corrected and sent her on her way to visit relatives during the holiday so she missed the worst of the bruising.

She knows the problem is solved.

Can you give me a reason why I should go into the technical details of the implant? If I get a revision someday she’s not going to be doing the surgery.

She may know it’s an implant. She’s not dumb. Masters degree. Plus she was smart enough to pick me as her husband.

But where’s the harm in me allowing her to think she, rather than a pump or reservoir, is the reason I’m hard and throbbing and dying to be inside of her?

I used to joke my wife was bisexual. If I wanted sex I had to “bi” some flowers, candy, or get her a little gift. The bottom line is my wife is a lot more of a romantic than I am. She’s into a candlelit bath with the two of us, flower petals, candles, champagne. I’d be completely happy disrobing and crawling into a sleeping bag in back of my pickup.

I’m not sure what, exactly, she knows or doesn’t know. Suffice it to say I’m light years better off not dwelling on the fact that my erections are hydraulically induced rather than the fact she gets me horny as hell (although after 40 years she still does).
