I'm just about to start my VED journey. Just waiting on a couple things in the mail. I hope one day there will be new and better treatments but for now it's gonna be this... I've scattered through this website looking for people's opinions on the matter. Some say it sucks some say it's great. Some say it makes you cold, blue and numb others say none of the above. For all those who found relief with VED can you please post your thoughts? I had an injury and it's still hard to swallow that this is my life now, so i guess you could say I'm looking for positivity and hope that it's not over for me.

The VED works. It gets me hard as long as I keep the ring on. Getting hard isn't the same thing as getting aroused, at least for me, but getting hard allows me to have sex and the friction on my hard penis eventually gets me aroused and brings me to orgasm. My Uro warned me not to leave the ring on for more than a half hour. I have left it on for more than a half hour but not too much beyond a half hour.

Hey thanks, how would you compare a trimix injection vs VED erection?

The big difference to me is that Trimix gets my entire length erect while the VED only gets the part from the ring forward erect. I use both now because I can't keeep the blood in my penis without a real tight ring

When you use the VED with only your exterior penis erect, does that effect your sexual intercourse?

I've used Trimix without the pump and used the VED without the Trimix. Trimix draws blood into the entire length of my penis. Unfortunaely with me it flows back out. Nothing to stop it. The VED draws blood into the entire length while I'm pumping but once I slide the ring on I loose whatever blood is behind the ring as a result I get a hinge effect as some have mentioned. I find that once I start thrusting and there is friction I begin to feel aroused and some blood does flow in making me more rigid.

interesting about the arousal, who knows maybe i'll be the same. Are you restricted to only certain positions during sex with the VED?

I would recommend experimenting with different rings and sizes until you find out what works best for you. Being highly aroused definitely helps make the VED work better for sex.

Experimenting is key. I use a VED and Trimix alternatively since my Prostatectomie. I have ZERO erectile function, so "stimulation" does nothing for my erection. I use a Vacurect pump. It took a while getting used to. I use it daily with a large ring to "rehab" my penis to keep it from losing length and girth. For sex, I use a small ring which gets me rock hard (like from my teens!) Yes, the hinge effect is there and you have to experiment with your partner to see which position works best. I the pump handy while fucking in case my partner is particularly tight that time. That tends to push some blood out of my cock and make me a little les hard. 1 or 2 quick pumps and I'm back to fully hard! ....but I agree, 30 minutes max!

Using Trimix I get hard 60-90 minutes. It took lots of experimentation to get the right amount. I find keeping it hard enough for penetration sometimes requires a cockring sometimes on my cock, sometime on my whole package. AGAIN, experimentation helps, and patience and a sense of humour from your partner.
