Aug 12 2024 revision: Titan to AMS

Postby wolfpacker » Mon Aug 19, 2024 2:03 pm

Hey all, I'd been really uncomfortable with my titan for a while now (been a little over 3 years since I got it) and even made a couple posts here about it. Very uncomfortable/painful folds (which I believe caused thinning of my tissue over time) and also think Dr Eid may have slightly oversized me since I always had pain in the right tip, exacerbated by a prominent curve to the left. He originally put in a 24cm cylinder on that side but cut it down to 23cm, which hints to me that he realized he should've gone a little shorter (probably should've done 21cm + a couple RTE).

I ended up getting a revision to AMS on August 12th and I'm now 1 week into recovery. The AMS is immediately SO much more comfortable and natural than the Titan when flaccid (doc told not to inflate until our 2 week follow up) and things are healing well. Pain is pretty much gone. The one bummer I've noticed so far is that my pump & tubing are in a pretty weird position. Tubing protrudes out the front of my ballsack and pump points backward, behind the balls. Gonna be tougher to work this pump than my old one that was pointed forward.

I'm a little concerned about the way the tubing protrudes, but I'll live with it if necessary. Anyone else have tubing stick out the front of their ballsack like this? Pic for reference. In the pic you can see the tubing coming down from the base of my shaft, bulging out of the ballsack and then looping back in towards my taint to connect with the pump.

Thanks all!!

Got me revision June 25, AMS LGX, my tubing does not protrude, I agree maybe should of went shorter but everyone anatomy is different. I truly like the LGX much better than the Titan I originally had, my wife says it is more natural feeling to her. I have the original MS pump, did you get the Tenacio? I do know the MS pump seems smaller than the Titan felt like, but they say the Tenacio is much easier to operate and slightly larger.

I've had my Titan almost a year and half. I don't hate it and it doesn't cause me any pain , however, I may switch to the AMS 700 when revision time comes . As I stated in other posts .... the flaccid state has become a little more important to me than I ever thought it would . Also, my Titans right cylinder kinda buckles and feels bumpy. I can " fix" it ( sort of ) using a VED . It'll pull most of it out and plump it up . That right cylinder, aesthetically, bothers me though . It's like the cylinder just broke in that way and that's the way its gonna stay . This is another reason I'd consider switching to the AMS . I often wonder if the softer silicone would be different. My question is .... Is there a big , noticeable difference in your girth ?

Yeah the buckling and folding of the titan cylinders was pretty horrific on mine. I didn't even want my penis to be touched when it was deflated, it was just so uncomfortable. Tender, sensitive penis flesh with hard point plastic edges underneath. The AMS immediately feels SO much softer and natural. Feels like a regular penis underneath just with a slightly former squish. For me, the titan cylinders were folded and hard like a plastic knife inside. Attaching a pic of the cross section (as seen on CT scan) of my titan cylinders. The one on the top side in the pic was especially painful. You can see how it's folded weird and the left sharp edge of it is pressing against my outer penis skin from the inside, even distorting the naturally round side of my penis and making it totally flat (top side of penis in CT pic is flat due to folded cylinder). The AMS cylinders feel relaxed inside my penis and much more enjoyable to touch them and be touched.

As for girth, I haven't been cleared to inflate and cycle yet but so far it's looking like it'll be similar to the titan. Will update thoughts on size before/after as I start cycling.

There is no real difference that I have found, I know with the titan I had a bulge at the bottom left of my shaft, I think it was tubing and the y connector going to the tubes, you are correct with the plastic krinkle the Titan has as well as the painful dog ears. So far very happy with AMS, it will be interesting to see how the Rigicon IPP performs when it is approved in the USA.

My " buckling " happens when fully inflated. It's like the left cylinder is expanding more than the right . I should mention that I had Peyronie's scarring on the right side . Dr Clavell did plaque incisions to straighten my unit out . That's the same side that the buckling occurs causing a series of bumps ( 3 in total.... feels like corrugated tubing, or a rib cage ) . I kept hoping with cycling and breaking in that it would resolve itself ( it hasn't )

If you don't mind saying, which doctor did you use on the revision? I visited Eid, but the logistics just seemed too much.

Sorry to see this, but this doesn’t look right if this is really protruding tubing under the scrotal skin at the base of your penis? I am shocked. Who did this?

How do you feel about the bigger AMS pump (be it MS or Tenacio) compared to Titan?

wolfpacker same thing here, almost 20 months, the left cylinder seems to have been oversized more than the right one, I feel the tips too far forward, the whole left side hurts from under the crown of the glans, up to the middle of the shaft, I feel a strong discomfort all over the day when it is deflated, it doesn't hurt only when I inflate it, when the pain starts during the day I have to do something, move it/squeeze it/deflate it/change position in my underwear, I always feel my penis in tension, did you put a cx or an lgx?, I'm waiting for Antonini's call for the review with AMS CX on September 17th, I hope he doesn't be an asshole, I find myself having spent 25,000 euros on the system and various expenses, neutered because I was still working, and without a system to enjoy , it seems like I'm living a nightmare, I've had these problems since the first day, but the doctor said it will pass, it will pass, it never went away, I immediately realized that things weren't going well, if he doesn't replace it for me, what's more I'll have to pay the cost new device I will go to another doctor and I will put on a malleable to get it over with, at least I hope...
