With undiagnosed but pretty certain mild-VL, I’m still using viagra and tadalafil with generally good results.
Before I succumb to the inevitable trajectory of injections and implants, are there any FT members who’ve experienced consistent, long-term benefits with cock-rings?
I don’t mean the vacuum pump/constriction ring combo; more the Giddi or generic type. Is a Giddi subscription a waste of money? Do the lasso style ones work well?
I know there’s a cock-ring thread on FT but wanted to throw out my query to a larger base of blokes.
Since the blood in my boner has the irksome tendency to drain away without a blue-pill in my system, I’m desperate to prolong my organic(ish) erections for as long as possible before needles and implants become a necessity.

Long Term Success With a Cock Ring ?
44 years old. Shingles seems to have brought on VL 10 years back. NHS and Private healthcare say ‘keep taking the blue-pills, champ!’ Never managed to obtain a definitive medical explanation for my ED, which gets on my tits more than I can say.

Re: Long Term Success With a Cock Ring ?
In the late 70's I answered an ad in the back of a magazine and received a Good Vibrations catalog. We ordered a couple of cock rings. One was a hard plastic number with a vibrator on top, which proved to be unwieldy and uncomfortable. The other was a leather strap with snaps to adjust the tightness. I have used many other types through the years but that strap or its replacement was a goto for many years. My wife got her first vibrator in that same order, a white hard plastic number that used 2 c or d batteries.
When viagra came out, the cock rings and strap temporarily moved to a desk drawer. Soon we discovered smaller doses of V and a cock ring worked better than a large dose. Eventually the side effects of increasing amounts of PD5's lead us to a VED with rings.
I have been using rings in one form or another, except for a brief time, since the late 1970's. The journey is finding the "Goldilocks" size and type that works for you.

Re: Long Term Success With a Cock Ring ?
I've used a cock ring for 20 years.
FIrst by itself as an aid to get and keep an erection.
Then about 15 years ago I used a cock ring with viagra, I used this combination for over 10 years.
Then 2 years ago I started using Trimix injections.
I am currently using slightly less dosage of Trimix as when I started. All with good results.
I start the injection wearing cock ring, we do our thing (sex). After my wife orgasms. I ask if she has had enough since I'm still fully erect.
After we are finished I remove the cock. and I remain hard for an hour or so.
Using Trimix and cock ring I have never lost an erection. (I would also note that by using Trimix the erection does not go away after ejaculation)
Using the cock ring has become somewhat of an addiction. The cock ring has served me so well for 20 years, I dont know if I could do it (sex) without one.
The key to cock ring as you may know is finding one that is not too tight and not too loose.
About a year ago I had a Doppler ultrasound. I asked my urologist if I might have a venous leak. He said that since the erection works with Trimix I dont have a venous leak. Although I'm not 100% sure because of my always using a cock ring.

Thank you so much for these insights. Music to my ears, if I’m honest. Do you recall the brand names/makes of the rings that worked best for you- especially that strappy number you spoke of?

Sogwap, this is incredibly useful info in my hunt for answers Could you tell me the make/brand you advocate the most?
