What did I do wrong? Trimix had no effect

I decided to practice a Trimix injection this evening, without the pressure of sex looming over me. I injected 20 units, which is what I once responded to nearly immediately with my former girlfriend.

I injected right at the 2 o'clock position, not super deep with a half-inch needle, but definitely into the corporal body on the right side of my penis. I'm being careful not to accidentally puncture the urethra or hit a blood vessel or something.

And ... No effect. No pain, either, and the plunger went down without any resistance at all. It felt like I was injecting into empty space, and I could feel the chilly liquid rushing inside me. Kinda weird but it made me feel like I must have done it right.

Anyway I'm sitting here 30 minutes after the injection and my dick is as limp as a silk handkerchief. What gives?

This Trimix bottle has been sitting in the freezer since May, and I just put it in the fridge last night. Could it be that the stuff went bad, or do we believe that despite my best efforts that I simply did it wrong?

I'm going to try again in a couple of days and see what happens. But, what do we think?

Did you pump up a bit before the injection? I have found that pumping up to where I’m fairly chubby and pop on a ring, it gives me a larger target. With the ring on, I can take my time to inspect and decide where to inject. I prefer a 9 and 3 o’clock instead of 10 and 2.

Since developing this approach, I’ve had almost no misses.

Depends on the state of your flaccid penis.
Most guys that miss are nervous and the corpora Cavernosium is minimum size. Think the size of a (small) pencil.

As has been stated by numerous guys. If you use a penis pump for a couple of minutes before injecting, the success rate is much greater.
I have used a pump for a couple of minutes before injecting for the past year and missed once. That one time I missed I knew immediately, and after 5 minutes I got a new needle

One other advantage to using pump is it primes the penis and makes for a quicker erection.

I never feel the liquid "rushing in." You must have missed the corpus. It's not most of the shaft space - you're looking at an ERECT penis cross-section. My corpora are even thinner than Sogwap's, more like thick spaghetti, and easy to miss. After seven years, I still miss one in 10 times.

When I was learning, I used 1/2in needles and went right through the corpus a few times. I now use 5/16in at most locations.

I've used Trimix refrigerated at 40F(4C) for six months with no deterioration in its effectiveness.

Thanks everyone, this is all very helpful wisdom and advice. I'll try a pump before injecting next time, which I think will probably be tomorrow, just to be safe. I'll try 3 and 9 next time, too...
