I’m going in for my first surgery next Tuesday. I asked the doctor (high volume surgeon and COE) about the longevity of the devices and it was his opinion that the ones that last 15 years are when the patient doesn’t use it very often. His estimate for someone who uses it 2x/day is 5 years until device failure. I know there are exceptions, but thought I would share what he told me.
52 year old - Implanted 9/10/24 with AMS 700 CX - 21cm, 2cm RTE. 65 ml reservoir.

Well, I guess I should have added I use mine about 2-3x per week for normal intercourse. Not that I haven't used it multiple times in a day, but certainly not regularly. If you have a desire and opportunity to use it 2x per day I say great. I'd get burned out I think, however.
