Hi everyone, I'm Tommy from Los Angeles. Looking forward to participating in discussions regarding ED and other related issues. I am 57, and have been using trimix (now Quad-mix) for over five years now. The injections have been a very positive life-changing experience for me.

I'll now provide more info about myself and my experiences with ED treatments. My journey dealing with ED started in my early forties and was attributed in part to a pre-diabetic condition, along with a likely venous leakage problem. I started using Viagra which initially worked very well for me at 50mg dose, but after about a year I needed to increase to 100mg. At the higher dose, I experienced intolerable side effects including nausea, dyspepsia, diarrhea, and vomiting. I had a similar experience with Levitra. Then tried Cialis which provided no efficacy at a low dose but was mildly efficacious at the higher 20mg dose without experiencing side effects. However, after a couple years taking Cialis, the efficacy started to wane, and it no longer proved to be useful as a treatment for me.

My urologist had already suggested that I consider trying injections several times prior to me finally being desperate enough to give it a try. I didn't like the idea of sticking a needle in my dick, which is why I waited so long to agree to try it. My first few trials in the doctor's office didn't produce the desired amount of firmness for me, and my erections were only "partial erections" which didn't last very long at all. After titrating upwards with both the volume and the formula strength, we found the dose/strength which worked well most of the time. I've now been self-injecting for over five years, with several increases in the strength of the mix. I am now injecting 25 units of a Quad-mix formula. (Pap30/Phen3/PGE150/Atro.2)

My results are generally very satisfactory, my erections are usually very firm but sometimes less firmness than desired, and a few times I was extra firm to a degree of being mildly uncomfortable or even slightly painful for a short period of time. Generally, my erections last for an hour to an hour and a half, occasionally it can be up to three hours, but I haven't experienced any priapism events. I have experienced a few other minor negative incidents including needle-bending when injecting using smaller gauge needles, and I now use only 28G which works well for me without bending.

I'm not claiming to be an expert on the topic of penile injections, but I am an experienced user, and I will be happy to share my knowledge, advice, opinions, and other experiences with penile injection therapy. I am also interested in learning more regarding any tips or ideas and the experiences and thoughts of other men who have ED related issues, especially among other guys who use trimix/Quad-mix.

I would be interested in learning why sometimes after injecting myself it takes as long as 20 minutes or more to start producing an erection, while other times the process starts almost immediately?

Hi Tommy. Your experience sounds similar to mine. Pills worked for a while, then they became unreliable and the side effects were bad. Injections worked for a while, then had to increase the dose and strength. When Quadmix stopped working for me there was just one solution left. Good you found a method of injecting that works for you, and I hope it keeps working.
My only advice is the lack of erections can lead to loss of size over time.
