Hello, So I am seeing a urologist for the 1st time on October 10th.
How much of a life history do I give her or do I just let her do the talking?
I feel it has taken years and many little, I mean average (lol) things that add up to where I am now.
Thank you.

First, think of your interaction with your doctor as a partnership, NOT a proprietorship.
Question and answers should come from both parties.
Be honest, remember that a doctor is a medical professional. Communication needs to be a two-way street.
And last, doctors have heard it all. You're not the only man out there, with a penis, that doesn't work as well as it used to.

As already mentioned NOW is the time to lay it all out(so to speak) to your Dr.

Take a little index car with you with all the questions you have ..leave room to write her replies .. does she do implants ... does she start off with the shots first .. if she suggests an implant in the future but does not do them herself get the name of who she would send you to in the future so you can research them .. .have a cup of coffee ...sit ..think ..write .. trust me you will be so nervous if you get talking and get off track you may not get questions answered that you want answered.
Re: Urologist Visit
Keep in mind that most Urologists don't specialize in men's sexual health. They usually are more interested in doing surgeries like kidney stone removals, treating prostate cancer, and various laparoscopic & robotic procedures. Don't be surprised if what you are offered by your Urologist is just an increase in dosage or a different PDE5 inhibitor to try. Hopefully your doc is one that does specialize in men's sexual health.
Age 58, happily married over 38 years. T levels fluctuate but often on the low end. Cialis (Tadalafil) was working great but not so much lately. Viagra works most of the time. Use a Vacurect VED with a PosTVac Mach Ring as a backup.

Re: Urologist Visit
Good advice from stmfttr and others. Two of my men friends have said that they prefer women doctors because they listen better. Well, she doesn't know you from Adam, so start giving her your full ED history right away, starting from its beginning, doing most of the talking until she has a question. You must give the full picture to get the most help. Hopefully you won't be bashful talking to a woman you've never met about sex and erections and their failures. If you think that you might be hesitant, practice mentally, with your full concentration and imagination, many times, talking to an unfamiliar woman about your penis and how it's failing penetration.
Don't forget your diabetes history.
Bring a list of drugs and supplements, including quantities/day, to hand to the nurse who will interview you first, asking you why you're there. You say, "Erectile dysfunction," adding more detail if she wants it.
I like to take a stenographer's notebook to appointments, with all my talking points written down well in advance, in pencil so that I can erase and change in the days leading up. Plenty of pages should I need them. Without this aid, I might forget something. I leave space between my points to write what the doctor says.

Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.
