Why does no one talk about sensation?

Postby ArianMalone » Sun Sep 29, 2024 4:48 pm

I have zero sensation recently. Haven’t got the implant yet and I’m only 26. How can the implant be worth it for someone like me? Would a flesh dildo be worth it?

The implant's primary function is to provide structural rigidity for penetration - nothing more, nothing less (in theory).

I think most implant people, got the implant for the firmness or the hardness. Every URO counseling section was about my future firmness. The URO made it very clear, at each visit that, I had to bring my own size, my own sensation, my own desire, and my own libido. None of those items mentioned, would increase because of an implant. I was happy with that. I always had the desire and sensation, just didn't have the firmness. Now, with the firmness, "I can do the damn thing", as they say.

Sensation is talked about a LOT on here. Most lose a little immediately after surgery and then slowly gain it back over 3-6-9 months. Due to a little irritation of the nerves during surgery and swelling. I feel like I lost quite a bit of sensation for many months due to overuse of a VED for many months pre surgery. I also think on several occasions I got too much tri mix while trying to get my quantity right leaving me with an aching hard on for 4-5 hours on many occasions. I have found that after my initial year of pumping daily after implant and I only pump now 2-3 times a week for actual use that I probably have a little more sensation now than 3 years ago while using tri mix. Maybe look at what you’re doing with your dick and lighten up on it. Nerves take many many months to heal! Maybe even a year or more so changing rough practices overnight won’t change the issues overnite.

I'd like to understand this better. I don't have an implant (yet) but I'm using a VED for penile rehabilitation for both ED and anorgasmia/sensitivity. But sensitivity is declining so now I have to wonder if the VED is counterproductive.

Not that it is anything new, but I gained sensation from being implanted……a lot. It didn’t totally cure my delayed ejaculation but it did it a lot of good. After dealing with it 40 years there are some psychological components now.

My theory/experience. I’d get a short lived erection. I’d use super human stimulation to try to keep it hard. I was so concentrated on banging & thrusting that I couldn’t begin to think about feeling & enjoying. Plus stroking anything with a hard dick will give you more thrills and chills than plowing anything with a semi or rapidly softening pecked.

My issue now is simply a matter of forcing myself to relax and let ejaculation happen. I was always so tensed up trying to avoid losing my boner. That can’t happen anymore. 40 years of ingrained habit is tougher to overcome than simply telling yourself to.

The hardness I never had consistently before makes my whole dick a lot more sensitive during sex. Especially oral.

Thank you for your response. I’m feeling suicidal over this. The implant fixes 50% of the problem for sure but without sensation that would not be worth it. Your reply gives me hope

Arian:

Let me really cheer you up.

A lot of guys report some numbness, loss of sensation, residual nerve impairment after surgery that takes a while to resolve.

Now, I don’t know what procedure your doctor uses. Mine went in infrapubic.

The only long term numb spot I had was above my dick, about 1.5” above the pubic bone, maybe about a 3” in diameter circular area. And it resolved totally within the year.

My cock head? No effect. Still total feeling.

The shaft? No effect. Ditto.

Balls? No effect. Sensitive.

I’ve seen the same routine with multiple hernia repairs and yes, the nerves do repair and you do get sensitivity back.

But with the implant, the only area that lost feeling or sensitivity or had any vestige of numbness afterwards was a spot in the groin that isn’t involved in sex unless you are into some really kinky shit that I can’t begin to imagine nor do I have the flexibility to perform.

Again, I had delayed ejaculation for years and years. Oral was always the easiest way for me to get off and it still is. But it’s a lot better. And I’m pretty sure that my delay is psychological not mechanical at this stage. But my penis itself has excellent sensitivity and I know when I’m banging into a cervix (and probably about to be banished to couch for doing so.)

Note to self: 10-12 inches would be redundant. You can hit a cervix with a cock in the 6-7 inch range, and women who don’t like that will be unamused.
