You got the best advice around from bldoink. All I can add is have some Sudafed on hand just in case. There are different kinds of Sudafed and I can't tell you which one except it's behind the counter now. If you have an erection that isn't going away after an injection popping 5 or 6 Sudafed may help. May save a trip to the ER.
Best of luck.

bldoink wrote:It sounds like your doctor is giving good advice. However the clinics recomendation to start at a lower dose first has merrit. Some guys are very sensative to the meds and you won't know if that's you until you try.

The makeup of your mix is very important. The strengths of the mixes vary considerably. You must experiment carefully to determine the correct mix and dose for you. You didn't mention what the strength of the components of your mix is.

Be sure and read as many of the older threads in the "Injection" sub-forum as you can stand. There's a lot of good info there with various techniques you can experiment. A couple of key points:

Never force the plunger down. If it doesn't depress easily you're at the wrong depth. Generally you aren't deep enough but you can also go too deep. You'll have to experiment. Every dick is different.

If you're capable of giving yourself a chubby before injecting you may find that will increase the size of the target, the corpus cavernosum, making hitting the target eeasier.

If you draw up a syringe ahead of time be sure to leave a little air at the top. That allows you to expell the air right before injecting which tends to fee up the plunger which can kind of take a set at the previous position. That set can interfere with feeling plunger resistance.

Always massage your penis while compressing the injection location for a couple of minutes both to prevent bleeding and to spread the injection meds.

Consider experimenting with novelty/sex shop cock rings. Some guys find their use helpful. See the "Cock Ring" thread in the "Members Only" sub-forum for some somewhat random suggestions.

I may add to this response later.

Good luck.

hello bldoink i forgot to ask this. why did you mention cock rings? is this because injecting after wearing one gives a much better chance to hit the target? please advise

thanks

The following is not based on any scientific or medical research that I'm aware of. It's my own opinion: I mentioned the cock rings because many guys find they give their erection a little extra boost. I think there are several possible reasons for this.
1) A ring of the proper (for you) size and squeeze can slow the outflow of the injected meds giving them more opportunity to have the desired effect.
2) A ring of the proper (for you) size and squeeze can help restrain blood outflow boosting the erection and extending it's duration.
3) A ring of the proper (for you) size and squeeze when worn at the base of your dick behind the boys can put come compression on the suspensory ligiment giving the erection some lift, at least giving the apperance of a raging boner.
4) A ring of the proper (for you) size and squeeze can give an added erotic "feel" to the wearer which can boost the whole experience.
5) Some partners gain increased enjoyment (for whatever reason), when their partner wears the appropriate (for them) ring(s).
6) Injections can in some or even many cases cause delayed orgasm (anorgasmia). The use of a cock ring, by boosting the erection, can allow the use of a smaller dose of the injection meds and as a result minimize the anorgasmia side effect of the meds.

I may not have covered everything.

Again, nothing posted above is based on any scientific or medical research. YMMV

thanks for this valuable info

what is the best way to wear the rings if the goal is to hold an erection and make it harder? from this link below is the penis only double looped rings (two separate rings) would do that job or is it the first one penis only classic cock ring?

i am not looking for any sensations. just the goal is to hold erection

For only boosting your erection this one (from your linked site) is the method I like:

For entertainment purposes I like adding a second ring like this:

To achieve this effect:

All of this is covered, along with suggestions other than my own, in the "Cock Ring" thread found in the "Members Only" sub-forum.

Adding to Old Guy's Sudafed advice: Sudafed is good, but I think Wal-Phed PE at Walgreens is a little better. No prescription is necessary, but it's behind the counter and you have to sign a log. The ingredient my urologist said to use in case of an over-four-hour erection is phenylephrine, which is all that's in this.

Starting low and working your way up is the smart thing to do. I have ZERO erectile function. I had used Alprostadil (Caverjet) ONLY the first few injections (4 units). It worked pretty good, but unfortunately I am the 1 in 20 guys who get an ache along with the erection. We decided to go with TRIMIX, starting at 3 units, working myself up .5 units at a time till I hit 6units which works best for me. 10 seems like way too much but experimentation will tell.
I am also a Canadian and know the high expense of these injections. It's worth the cost to get what you need.
And I agree with what someone else wrote..... put a small cock ring on just as you are about to penetrate. It helps.
Make sure you have Sudafed onhand too while in the experimental phase....this is used if your erection won't go down.
