Very uncomfortable/painful folds (which I believe caused thinning of my tissue over time) and also think Dr Eid may have slightly oversized me since I always had pain in the right tip, exacerbated by a prominent curve to the left. He originally put in a 24cm cylinder on that side but cut it down to 23cm, which hints to me that he realized he should've gone a little shorter (probably should've done 21cm + a couple RTE).

I ended up getting a revision to AMS on August 12th and I'm now 1 week into recovery. The AMS is immediately SO much more comfortable and natural than the Titan when flaccid (doc told not to inflate until our 2 week follow up) and things are healing well. Pain is pretty much gone. The one bummer I've noticed so far is that my pump & tubing are in a pretty weird position. Tubing protrudes out the front of my ballsack and pump points backward, behind the balls. Gonna be tougher to work this pump than my old one that was pointed forward.

I'm a little concerned about the way the tubing protrudes, but I'll live with it if necessary. Anyone else have tubing stick out the front of their ballsack like this? Pic for reference. In the pic you can see the tubing coming down from the base of my shaft, bulging out of the ballsack and then looping back in towards my taint to connect with the pump.

Thanks all!!

wolf, you're the first one I've seen here on FT that had the titan for 3 years (long enough to get used to) and still felt uncomfortable, had to get a revision. Have you seen anyone else (other than people complaining about dog ears)? I was considering a titan but now worried about this kinda discomfort for so long. Was it at least not bothersome with a few pumps in?

I've seen at least 1 guy on here who immediately couldn't deal with the titan and traded it in within a couple months for AMS. Most of the guys I've seen have been ok with it, if somewhat dissatisfied with the deflated state. No, a few pumps in mine wouldve made it unbearably hard.

I think the comfort or discomfort of the titan all comes down to how the cylinders decide to fold in your dick which is all individual and dependent on your own body. It just so happened that they folded in a really weird way inside me and caused bad pain.

I was recently implanted with a Titan 4 weeks ago and I have the same problem with the tubing as well. The tubing protrudes out the left side for me and it’s a an obvious bump in the scrotum. I wonder if it’s more of an issue with the way surgeon implanted the device? My was penoscrotal approach.

Wolf,
Did you choose a high volume (whatever that means) dedicated penile implant center for your revision? I see you have chosen Dr. Eid for your first implant.

That aside, how is your recovery journey?

Unfortunately I went with a pretty "medium volume" implanter, Dr Hawksworth at Walter Reed. She does about 20 a year. I'm active duty military and really didn't feel up to paying another $35k+ like I did with Dr Eid the first time around, so I did this one for free at Walter Reed.

Overall the result is ok, definitely not as good as Dr Eid. Pump is in a very weird position (pointed backwards towards my taint and with tubing bulging out the front) and they made a much larger incision than Dr Eid, as well as stitching me back up in such a way that now I have a big scrotal webbing going up my shaft that I didn't have before.

But overall I do like the AMS and glad I made the switch. Wish I went with AMS from the start.

The AMS LGX and CX are supposed to be better suited for the narrower penises because the cylinders only expand to 18mm diameter.

Was this ever a factor for you when you were considering your revision?

So you gained a much better flaccid look.

The only downside now is the larger pump, correct?

I see that claim being made often. I have a CX & my erect girth is 6 inches. I think its easy to prove this 18mm myth wrong.

Yes the pump is a bit larger but it works fast. I can be very hard after 15 pumps. Also, the release button it very easier to find.

If you're trying to decide between the two major brands in the USA? Decide on other factors than the pump & cylinder diameters.

Wolf, did she remove the reservoir from the first implant and place it on the same side?

Glad that you're happy with your new AMS. I just made a separate post about asking why some people get dog ears whereas other people don't https://www.franktalk.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=25269#p238421. Is your revision a CX or an LGX? I see that you had a 24cm Titan before. As far As I know CX 24cm is special order. What size AMS did you get for your revision?
55 years. Using bimix 0.4 units. Works well but inconsistent and very inconvenient. Seriously considering an implant.

It's a CX 24cm, I've heard the special order thing before for 24cm so I double checked with my surgeon ahead of time that they keep the 24cm on hand. Walter Reed is a pretty huge hospital so makes sense they would have all models available.
