Anyone switch from an AMS 700 CX to a Titan?

So this is my first implant and it’s six months old now. Originally, I mostly got it for the Peyronie’s disease correction. Sometimes I can feel a sharp sensation by where the tubing is on the right side shaft (at the connector).
For a second opinion I saw a different surgeon,
Dr. Adrian Feng here in Phoenix AZ. Very impressed with
Dr Feng, he is a 4th degree black belt and has an engineering degree plus obviously he went to medical and surgical school. Easily the most impressive doctor I’ve ever spoken to. He said what I’ve got is a cylinder roughly a half to one centimeter too long on the right side, which is preventing curvature from being fixed. I made the mistake while healing of wearing an athletic supporter and that made the flaccid curvature worse. It’s also somewhat painful through the day because of the flaccid curvature. The Department of Veterans Affairs paid for the surgery, and Dr. Feng said he could replace the longer cylinder. Why replace a cylinder when I wanted a Titan in the first place? The original surgeon only offered AMS - now with the healing and capsule maybe the Dog ears Titan issue won’t be as bad as other patients have mentioned. So I’m interested in getting a revision to a Titan.

I’m wondering if a revision now would be too soon or even allowed.

6 months is the amount of time most doctors require to wait for a revision. Infection and device failure or some other like reasons are exceptions to that.

I think you need to find someone that does a lot of Peyronie's Surgery - if you're in arizona check out dr patel in san diego. Likely will take VA insurance as well as someone like Dr clavell.

It seems like the different cylinders are not the only problem especially if you had Peyronie's at baseline like me. I was told that the implant would fix the curve alone - it didnt. I had extensive surgery with dr patel to get the plaque out (much more challenging after already having an implant) and allow the penis to look and function as normal as possible before the disease (both ED and peyronie's) started. I would also say the sooner the better - most high volume surgeon would say if you absolutely need it fixed better to do it sooner before the capsule forms. the blanket 3 months is what i've found out related to insurance. there's a 3 month period that all the office visits are part of the original surgery so the docs don't get paid, so they try to push it out more than 3 months.

Go see Dr. Blick first. Did mine and have had zero issues with it. He's with Valley Urological Associates.
