Seeking Advice on Post-Implant Swelling During Activity

Postby uribah » Thu Oct 31, 2024 11:40 pm

Hello FrankTalk Community,

I underwent penile implant (Titan One-Touch) surgery four weeks ago and have been experiencing noticeable swelling in my penis when standing or walking. This swelling subsides when I'm resting. I'm concerned about whether this is a typical part of the healing process or if it indicates a complication.

Has anyone else experienced similar swelling during recovery? If so, how long did it last, and were there any specific strategies or treatments that helped alleviate it? Additionally, at what point did you decide to consult your surgeon about postoperative swelling?

I appreciate any insights or advice you can share based on your experiences.

Do you feel pain as well? Have you started cycling? I don’t remember getting any swelling at 4 weeks but do remember being in considerable pain once I started cycling. The perineal area would pain on extended physical activity like standing or walking.
I recommend speaking to your surgeon and perhaps taking anti-inflammatory medication.

That is completely normal in the recovery, it's still a wounded area, and if you stand your genital area can swell more than when you lay.

It will stop, when the recovery time is over in few weeks.

Don't worry.

If there is little or no pain when you swell, sounds like healing is happening. It's going to take a while for everything to calm down. Standing and walking gravity is helping the blood settle causing some of the swelling.

I have started cycling and currently experience no pain during inflation or deflation; however, swelling causes discomfort and sometimes pain.
