I have only been injecting Trimix for about 10months and very sparingly from what I read others do on this board..maybe once a week sometimes once every 2 weeks, alternating sides etc.....I'm 59 years old with about a 7-8 year history of ED....6 of-7 of the last years were fine with oral meds.....last year I went on Trimix as the oral meds were inconsistent....about 2 months ago I noticed a slight curvature in my penis when at a 25% erection which went away when 50%-100% erect...I always had a "lean" to the left so at first I thought nothing of it....till it became more pronounced...I had no pain, but 1 day while masturbating I felt a very small nodule on/in my penis...It did not hurt..but the following morning I called the doc who prescribed my Trimix...of course he told me to immedialtely stop the meds and come in for an exam...I tried calling his office the following day only to find out he would be off for the next 2 weeks...BTW- I will not say his name on this board, but he never told me I should return to be periodically checked. In fact when I ran out of meds and called him a few months ago....he never examined me only asked how I was doing and handed me my Trimix and of course his bill..
Bottom line is this..I went to a peyronies specialist today..who said scarring and on-set of peyronies is more common than reported....with injection mediactions....In other words the penis was not created to stick with needles on a regular basis..You could be checked 1 month and return 2-3 months later for another check and already have the beginnings of the disease..It can come on that fast and progress that fast...and if your URO Doc doesn't know how to thoroughly examine you for the beginning of scarring..you can go undetected for months.....I guess what I'm saying is be careful and demand your doctor is thorough with exams...If you have any doubt go to the Peyronies forum and find a specialist in your area and go to be checked by them....I am very lucky and was very smart....The specialist I went today said I have minimal scarring and he's confident with treatment he can stop any further progression and possibly reverse the damage...He placed me on the #1 oral medication for peyronoes (Pentox) along with Vitamin E, Ubiquinol (CoQ-10), L-Arginine and Sendra to take 30min prior to engaging in sex.Oh and yes, a VED protocol to be done daily....to aide in breaking up the scar tissue and nourishing the healthy tissue...and to stop and do not consider any further injection treatments for ED......I do not mean to scare anyone..as I know some guys here have been injecting for years with no problems...while others like me have had to stop after a year or less.....Good luck to all who embark on injections...stay alert, examine yourself daily and as I said, make sure your doctor follows the protocol for regular checks.....

Re: early on-set of peyronies
This is good to know.
I asked my uro about the possibility of scar tissue forming when I started using Trimix a year ago. He said it was not that common.
Whatever. I will have him check my dick when I go back in June.

RP in 2012 because of prostate cancer. 100% ED, also some leakage problems.
Re: early on-set of peyronies
I think most good uro docs will have you come back every 2-3 months for checks....but a lot depends on how thorough the exam is by the doc..interestingly, I received a call from the uro who prescribed my Trimix and without examining me he said he thinks the scarring will clear up in a few weeks and I shouldn't totally abandon injections...REally? I mean really?....Many doctors know just how desperate men can be when they are struggling with ED and I'm convinced a good many have $$$ in their eyes. There's nobody on the planet more desperate and more willing to drop thousands of dollars then a man with a limp dick..plain and simple...I work in the medical field and my best friend is a retired surgeon...he tells me stories that would make the hair on the back of your head stand up and never go down..no pun intended....Stories of medical people purchasing inferior products to keep patients coming back...pushing certain meds and owning stock in those companies...cover ups of medical mistakes...it's just unbelieveable...and that's why he retired....couldn't take the dishonesty.......so if you have a good solid URO doc count yourself lucky...and get checked regularly..I haven't injected now for almost 1 month and my penis looks healthier than it has in months...1 interesting expalnantion or opposite end of the spectrum is injections make your penis swell to unbelieveable length and girth..many a post are on this forum about how healthy that is...and it is..but too much of a good thing can do damage..It was explained to me like your penis is a tire ..and like a tire on your car there is a maximum pressure..otherwise you risk a blow out..OR weakening of the tire for a future blow out....so yes, blood flow into the penis is a good thing..but too much pressure of blood and you begin to develop micro tears in the tissues..which can lead to scarring ...made perfectly good sense to me.
