Anyone have issues with the implant inflating on a plane/flight?

Postby gandalfasfhaf » Thu Oct 24, 2024 2:58 pm

If I bring a bag of chips on a airplane and don't open them it usually expands due to pressure.

Wondering how the implant goes? Assuming fine otherwise there would be a bunch of stories.

9 hour flight this weekend. Will be monitoring myself make sure it's stayed deflated at least.

I had a broad smile on my face reading your post. No issue that your implant may inflate by itself while 30 thousand feet in the air. The only person to make this happen, inflating or cycling your implant, is you. During my last flight I pumped it up and had a nice hard-on until I reached my destination.

My dad spent 45 years in airline industry. You have no idea of how many flights I’ve taken.

The real deal is there should be no effect. Cabins are pressurized to about 8000 ft above MSL and that’s about like being in Mexico City.

What I have found to be more of an issue is a flaccid implant somehow falls outside the parameters of what is expected and will, 100% of the time, flag my crotch in the naked scanner.

You’re better off just keeping your mouth shut and letting them pat you down. If asked I tell them I have mesh from a hernia surgery (I do). The one and only time I flashed my prosthesis card and tried to explain it became a huge cluster fuck.

We are talking about government employees in the TSA. The people who aren’t ambitious enough to be postal workers or courteous enough to work at the DMV.
Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.

Have taken many flights since implant and never had any issues and so far never even been slowed down in the scanners. Guess I’m lucky. Been out of the country to Europe, Mexico and Canada as well as several flights within the borders of USA and also no issues with security even giving me a second glance. I’ll also mention I had double hernia with mesh surgery 20 years before implant so surgeon put my reservoir subcutaneously just under muscle so I have a rather large bump just under my belt line that I always fear will flag a scanner….. so far so good though.

they fixed that issues after all the eyeballs exploded in the early years of high altitude flight. No worries now.

a bag of chips has air inside, your implant doesn't.

it was fine! i was waiting for it to inflate whole flight but it seemed ok, I inflated and deflated for a short few minutes in the toilet just incase

funnily enough I did get stopped going through like a full body scan thing, I looked at the screen and there was like a X where my reservoir would be. I saw it and just said "surgery" and they didn't seem to even care. could've been unrelated. let me through

This is the important point. Air expands at lower pressure. That's why the bag of chips gets bigger. But water does not expand at lower pressure.

You can experiment with a plastic water bottle. Fill it up with water, and you'll have no trouble at all on the plane. Bring an empty water bottle on the plane, and when you open it there'll be a hiss of escaping gas.

There is even packing advice buried in here. Do not bring a half full bottle of shampoo (or whatever liquid) in your luggage. The air will expand, possibly popping the lid and pushing out the liquid. Instead, squeeze the bottle until the liquid is right at the top, and then close it. That will eliminate the pressure of expanding air.

If all of that sounds overly theoretical, let me assure you that I fly a lot and my cock doesn't inflate unless I do it on purpose.
