Update: sorry to be confusing. I know he will regain length and all that with time, but my 2nd question is more about how the implant fills up during inflation. Usually a natural penis will grow both in girth and length with an erection. With the pump, does it also get bigger lengthwise or does it simply just get hard without changing length? I am not talking about regaining length here / just about the actual erection.


Hey all! My husband just had the AMS 700 CX implanted on September 30th and doing very well. His device will be activated on 11/12 and we can’t wait. But have a few questions for the group.

1. The pump part is pretty hard and doesn’t seem like it will be easy to inflate or deflate. Does this get easier after the first time or just with time?

2. When the penis inflates, does it also expand lengthwise as well? Prior to surgery, he was a grower and post surgery, his is longer than he was before, but he is worried that’s as long as it will be. He is at 20% now but we have no clue if it stays the same size and just gets hard or if it expands at all during inflation. For the record, I think he’s perfect and has plenty enough for me!

1. It gets easier with time. The pump softens up.
2. It should get longer and a little more girth over time. It's important that he cycles the device when the doctor clears him to do so.

He's probably longer now in his flaccid stage because he now has an implant installed. Don't expect the growth to be at the same ratio as before surgery from flaccid to fully erect but over time he should be back to his normal length before surgery.

Mine was implanted on October 4 and my checkup with the doctor is November 12 same thing can only get one pump then to hard to pump,seems undersized hope thing get netter

Hey guys. The pump will get easier whether it is a Coloplast or and AMS, I have had them both, to get working easier, get in a hot shower or bath tub.. get nice and warm , your pump will become more pliable and you will be able to pump as well as learn to hold the block when pumping. ( The block holds the deflate button). Pump like your surgeon told you but not the holy water is the key. Yes, your length will come back as well as your girth..

The pump gets softer with time and so don't worry, you'll find your way how to inflate fast and easy.

And yes, your length and girth will come back, just give it some more time with cycling every day at least twice in the first year the the length expands, at least wit the AMS LGX.

Early on when I first started pumping I was an inch short and only length gain was from engorgement in the glands. As the implant softens up it will stretch out to some degree and regain lost length. By the 6 month I was maybe 1” longer when pumped to max than when deflated completely. After a year or so I was 1-1/2” shorter when flaccid than when pumped to max! It’s a mix of your tissues stretching and the implant stretching to max. Also as it breaks in it will soften up a LOT when flaccid. At first mine stood out about 4:00 when deflated. Now after a couple years I can completely deflate and it hangs pretty much straight down.

I think your question is will he still be a grower, yes he will but not as much as before the implant but in the deflated state it is longer than it was. The more you pump it will stretch to a maximum until you can't pump no more.

It will take a while for the pump to get softer. I have strong hands, and I had to steady the pump with one hand while working fairly hard to squeeze with the other for months after I could start using my implant.

I gain about 3/4's of an inch from when I'm fully deflated to when I'm fully inflated. Mostly, inflating lifts my penis to a 3:30 angle from a 6 o'clock angle and makes it less flexible.
