Re: Want some advice at 42 years old..
Hey brother,
First time posting on this site. I am 51 and just had the surgery on 10/28/24 (Coloplast Titan). I’m almost three weeks out from the surgery and thus far everything has gone smoothly. I have my first post-op appointment next week and hopefully will be given clearance to run and lift weights again, and hopefully begin cycling soon.
My story in a nutshell: was in a sexless marriage for a long time. Got divorced (finalized this Spring) and looked forward to dating….thought my ED issues would correct with pills and/or new partner but that didn’t happen. Then my worst nightmare came true: a penile Doppler showed arterial insufficiency and slight VL so I knew it was a vascular issue. Penile injection worked in the MD’s office but not at home. At my age, and back out there dating, I just didn’t see injections as a viable option and they weren’t working at home.
Like you I was super stressed about ED. It seemed to consume my every moment. My first post/divorce relationship suffered and ended, and my mental health and work was affected. One of the greatest gifts the implant has given me is that I no longer worry about this and have gone back to my life. My mental health is now improving.
I’m not sure what my results will be yet. Thus far the surgery itself was much easier and less painful than I thought it might be. I now have hope of a relatively normal sex life again. I am a bit on the medium/smaller side at 5’ 1/4 hard so very concerned about length loss. But if I’m functional again, I’ll be good. One recommendation I would make is that if you go with Coloplast, call one of their patient information folks who have had this done. The person I talked to made me feel more at ease by discussing his experience.
This is a difficult call but for me in my situation I had no other choice. I’m grateful thus far for getting this past me and am optimistic about the future.
Hit me up if you have questions.

Hello,
dog ears most happen when the size of the cylinders don't fit exactly to the Corpora cavernosa, mostly to long, so the cylinder might fold on one place while expanding / inflating. By stretching manually one can correct dog ears, sometimes also after a while of cycling the capsula around the cylinders expands and stretches and dog ears disappear.
it's very rare and no reason to be afraid of getting an implant, cause the implant is a wonderful and in many aspects so positive that it will change the sexual life of ED sufferer completely and your attitude to life itself will change from being all time depressed to a kind of "sexual maniac"!
Guys, get your implant ASAP and forget about ED and start enjoying life and sex again, you deserve it!

65, from Germany, 30 years of ED
Implant July 20th, 2023, AMS LGX 18cm plus 5 cm RTE
That was the best I could ever do and I should have done it much earlier.
How I use to inflate und deflate my penile implant

Always wish I could go back and get implanted before taking that first Viagra.
This is a major decision. Best of luck.
Hi, do you think your size loss could be undersizing? or it was just your penis this way due to fibrosis? how long ago have you been implanted?
Implanted October 11, 2024, Dr Karaman. Infla10 AX 20cm +1cm RTE.

ED about 14 years. Pills worked for 12 years, later worked 50%. Tried almost everything, nothing worked: Shockwave-Testosterone-PRP-Stem Cells-Botox, Etc

Thanks for clearing up what that was. I definitely needed the pep talk as well. I do want to move past the Ed.

Definitely nice to relate to someone with this stuff. I’m glad you are doing well after surgery. Sounds like you will be back to normal pretty quick. Keep us posted on how your follow up goes. Yeah the losing of size is a big concern when beginning with an average length. I know it shouldn’t be as important as just it working but not sure i can take much more of a self esteem hit

Markc, I get you that you want to keep sex like it was before a bionic dick and it might be possible for you since you are young. I’ve heard that the AMS 700 CX can be pumped up quickly, I think around 10 to 15 pumps, but I’m not 100 percent positive, maybe some of the guys with a 18cm CX will chime in and let us know.
I have the AMS 700 LGX 18cm with 3cm rear tips, which expands 25 percent, so it takes longer to get it super hard, around 25 full pumps and another 5 half pumps.
Mark, I pump up ahead of time before we start foreplay and for us it’s like regular normal sex, because I don’t have to stop and pump up after we have both got our juices flowing. My wife likes to feel my hard bionic dick rubbing against her leg as we kiss and I’m fondling her, to get her as wet as possible before I penetrate her.

My size loss could be from both, loss from years of no erections and possibly some undersizing. I do have a fair amount of extra skin remaining when fully pumped up.
Think about body building, get nice big biceps then quit exercising for 10 years. Imagine what those biceps look like then. The cells and tissues that make up our muscles need to stretch to maintain size. On the opposite note consider a person who just lost 50+ pounds on a diet. What does their stomach look like?

That makes sense. I could see how being ready to go would help.
