Two week update

Postby crash220 » Tue Mar 25, 2014 9:12 am

Well its been two weeks, actually feeling really good. Still a little tender in the penis, the sore spot where the pump is feels a lot better. All and all very pleased. Can't wait till I can test it out, my girl friend is ready to "take it for a spin". If you are on the fence,,,, go for it, it does hurt quite a bit in the beginning, but two weeks out I feel pretty good. Also I threw a vasectomy into my surgery.

C, glad you are doing well. Ditto here. I am back to work two weeks out....actually came in for a couple hours of "desk time" at one week. I have some occasional ache in shaft and glan, plus that pump bumping into testicle that gets my attention. Incision healing nicely and blue/black color deminishing. I find a little something for pain, although not particularly needed, does help the day become more pleasant. New devices within that the body just has to get used to before we feel completely comfortable. I am pleased also at this point and this small amount of inflation sure gives me the desire to use.

I celebrated my 2 week anniversary yesterday. I'm still experiencing a dull ache in the scrotal area after I've been standing awhile but it's not too bad. I'm getting some itching in the scrotum as well. I think that's due to my hair starting to grow back. Incition (horizontal infrapubic) appears to be healing just fine.

Feeling much better 3 weeks out. Have a scheduled follow up today, if nothing else I am half way to getting to try out my new bionics. What are the odds Dr G will tell me I am ok to try it out?

Hi Crash,

Thanks for posting about your experience. I was implanted yesterday and it's great to compare my results with others. I hope to follow in your footsteps. I guess every day will show some improvement. Outside of the expected bruising and soreness I have a pain in my stomach area that feels like a pulled muscle generally but sometimes a sharp pain if I put stress on it. The surgeon said it was normal, will go away, and is the result of the insertion of the reservoir in the area.

Keep posting bro,
Good luck and I hope your first try is a good one Walt

Yankfan,
I had the same abdominal pain. Trust me, you might question why you did this, but it does get better! Hopefully your surgeon is as good as mine, I have called a few times with questions and concerns, and never felt like I was bothering him. I can't wait for 4-18-14, I hope he gives me the good to go then

R,
I am almost at four weeks and dern if I am not getting the itchy scrotum myself. I have almost a 2" horizontal scrotal incision just below base of penis, but this itching is around bottom of scrotum where pump lies not on incision. Weird..I have ice pack on it now which feels good. The itch seems to come and go and was especially bad last night. Maybe it is as you mentioned in the hair coming back. My incision has gapped open at one end with a ever so slight leak so I will drive to Dallas tomorrow and have checked by surgeon. I am just hoping no infection has developed and I do feel good about him having a look before the long wait of scheduled April 28th first post op appt. I need a confidence builder that all is in place and as it should. I see the bend "tubes" and have the little aches in places from time to time so getting this all checked out will be good. Sometimes the imagination get the best of us so I need to hear..."it looks great, just as it should".

You still itch?

Hi Billylee

Thanks for your two week post. I'm in post op day 3 and its great to hear what you have gone through recently. I feel better than I did even yesterday. The throbbing scrotum isn't as bad nor is the pain in the side. I guess if I recover in a similar pattern as you I'll feel pretty darn good in about a week and a half. Worst now is the soreness in my scrotum and extreme sensitivity in the scrotum where the pump is and pubic area where bruising is the worst.

I could live without a pain pill but I took one in the morning and pop another one later tonight for the heck of it... and to lessen the intensity after putting up with it all day. I'm seeing surgeon Tuesday to deflate.....

Good Luck in a few weeks when its time to launch,
Walt

billy,
Today is the 4 week anniversary of my operation. I still get an occasional itch but it's not nearly as bad as it was a couple of weeks ago plus I'm not feeling much pain so I can be a bit more aggressive it scratching it. It's not an issue anymore. The itch was right where you described it - right where the pump lies against the scrotum; somehow the position of the pump against the wall of the scrotum has to be the cause of the itch.

Sorry to hear about the gape in your incision; I hope the doc was able to fix the problem and you don't have any infection.
Take care.
