Been home for three hours. No issues so far. Surgery little to minor pain but the meds have not worn off. My main discomfort is the Foley catheter that I have to keep in until my wife ( an RN ) removes it tomorrow. As of now so far this has been less pain than I had with direct injections. BUT I am aware that this will change
Re: Surgery tomorrow and I’m scared to death! L
ICE, ICE, ICE. I iced nearly nonstop for 42 hours before boarding a 6 hour flight home, then iced for a few days after getting home.
My wife is also an RN, nice to have someone nearby that has a vested interest in everything going well
I'm sure you know this, but stay ahead of the pain, don't be a hero and think you can tough it out. Catching back up to it is much harder than staying ahead. I just alternated Tylenol and Advil every 3 hours and had nothing more than a little discomfort here and there, never any pain.
