Re: Coloplast Genises
Until our malleable hero - thedriver chimes in with his feedback, I'll direct you to his journey thread named Me & My Genesis Malleable.
You might want to update the title with 'Genesis' instead of 'Genises', so it shows in search results correctly for the future readers.
What's the waiting time like for this surgery in Canada?

One month is not bad. Good for you. I thought there would be a long waiting list for "quality or life" surgeries in Canada.

Re: Coloplast Genesis
There is a Coloplast Genesis video by a high-volume malleable expert from Egypt, Dr. Osama Shaeer. He speaks in Arabic, but I understood him by turning on English captions. Compared to the malleable, smoke-and-mirrors marketing videos from others on YouTube, this surgeon is highly respected for his experience and quality of care. You can also read some answers by him in the comments section.
Coloplast Genesis Penile Implant by Dr. Osama Shaeer:

Transcript (Using google translate, errors are possible with translation):
"Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings. Welcome back to your speaker, Professor Dr. Osama Kamal Shaeer, Professor of Andrology at Kasr Al-Aini Faculty of Medicine and the European Academy of Andrology, and winner of the State Encouragement Award in Medical Sciences. Our topic today is the flexible Coloplast Genesis or the rigid prosthesis, which is one of the first types of prostheses and the most ancient and most experienced in the world in the field of rigid flexible prostheses. The flexible prosthesis is a rigid body that can be bent in this way. It is implanted inside the penis to give it extreme rigidity, so the person can practice marital relations daily for life without any change in feeling, pleasure, or enjoyment. It guarantees great marital happiness and is highly reliable, meaning that it is very, very rare for it to be damaged. Many cases, meaning they have been around for more than thirty years; even our cases have been around for more than thirty years and are still working, and, thank God, they have a great sexual ability. This surgery is a one-day surgery that does not require hospitalization for more than a few hours. It is only for cases of severe sexual dysfunction that do not respond to drugs.
The Coloplast Genesis Stent is manufactured in the United States of America. Coloplast is originally a Danish company, but manufacturing takes place in the United States of America. It enjoys high reliability as we mentioned, as many cases have lasted more than thirty years without any defect in the stents, meaning that damage or breakage in them is very rare, and if it happens, God forbid, they can be easily replaced. But in my entire life, I mean, I have not seen more than two or three cases with a break from the stents after years and years of marital happiness without any harm to the patient, and they were replaced very easily. Of course, it has a warranty that covers this rare possibility.
This stent, the Coloplast Genesis Stent, one of its most important features is that it has an adhesive membrane for the antibiotic. The stent is a metal rod that can be bent this way or that so that the penis is not prominent under clothes, and of course, when clothes press on it more, it can be extended this way, so it has a very, very high hardness almost like the natural hardness of the organ, very close to the hardness of the penis. It comes in different sizes, length and width, so there is the appropriate size for each patient according to his physical composition. There is an internal metal rod, then it is surrounded by a membrane of medical silicone that the body embraces as if it were one of its organs. It is close in texture and when pressed to the natural feeling of an erect penis, of course, under the different layers of skin and what is under it, but on this silicone, there is an adhesive membrane for the antibiotic. Before implanting the stent in the body, we immerse it in a liquid provided with antibiotics. This or these antibiotics stick to the stent so that if any microbes infiltrate during the healing period to the inside, they find protection from this adhesive membrane, so that the body absorbs the stent and treats it as if it were one of its organs, and no rejection occurs to it. Coloplast Company was the first to place this adhesive membrane on its supports, Genesis supports, and for this reason, it has become famous worldwide in this field. Then it is very smooth from the outside, so implanting a Coloplast Genesis stent inside the body is considered the easiest ever in terms of surgery, and all supports mean in the end easy to implant for experts, but Coloplast is considered the easiest to implant.
Then the front end of the support is, as you can see, slightly pointed, but from the end, it is round, which ensures comfort for the patient, so the support settles under the head of the penis without causing pain in front, but at the same time, it fills the entire space. The front end of the supports differs from one support to another, for example, there is a company, Rigicon, which preferred the round shape; Coloplast preferred this shape; Boston Scientific preferred what is between them, between this and that, and for each patient according to his nature and physical composition and according to his choices and preferences, each patient has the support that suits him.
There is a video on my channel that explains the properties of the adhesive membrane.
https://youtu.be/fPG0CMKqMZc?si=q_JR2ZEOdovdewGm
(Captions are not available. If anyone can post a transcript, that would be awesome).
In this video, you will find it on my channel. We dip the support in a colored liquid and find that this colored liquid of this color has stuck to the support completely and cannot be removed. This meant a nice step from Coloplast; it provided us with a support that was not used and was not opened; it was opened for the first time just once for our patients and followers to see this feature in action. In this video, we also test this stent with a metal detector and find that it is not detected because the internal metal is silver. This is also a great advantage, as it does not appear in airports with magnetic metal detectors, hotels, etc. We have long experience with Coloplast Genesis, which is one of the stents that we prefer and love, but each stent has its own competitive advantages, as we mentioned. This is what is explained to the patient in detail. I will explain the different advantages of the different stents in a series of videos. You can communicate with us via email or WhatsApp shown in the video explanation below. You will also find a link for online consultations via video call. We always advise our patients to contact us before they come to us from outside Egypt to undergo surgery. As patients come to us from all over the world, communication before coming is better. Why? In order to ensure that the patient meets the conditions for stent implantation, all drug options must be exhausted first. By physically preparing it, the sugar is regulated. We stop blood thinners under medical supervision and so on. We always recommend this option before coming to Egypt to have the surgery performed by us. The surgery is a one-day surgery that does not require staying in the hospital for more than a few hours. Its success rate exceeds ninety-nine percent. That is, statistically, it has currently reached ninety-nine and a half percent. And God is the healer. Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you."

Re: Coloplast Genesis
As I dug through my old archives, I found a consult summary. The individual had a consultation with Dr. Eid about malleables. This was personally shared in a Malleable WhatsApp group by the patient, and it looks like I've saved it in my archives. It talks about malleables but there is an endorsement for Coloplast Genesis by Dr. Eid.
From Dr. Eid's YouTube channel, I noticed that he has a special preference for the Coloplast brand in general.
Beginning of Consult summary:
"A minority of IPP infected patients wish to keep the salvage malleables long term.
Due to the constant hardened state, over the years, the skin around the implant loosens, and the base will eventually wobble, such that it will drop naturally by gravity. So when you have sex, you will need to physically 'lift it with your hand and place it into position'; those were his words exactly.
He also said that the irony is that over years, a malleable ends up being less firm vs. an inflatable implant due to this issue. However, he said it is not a problem functionally.
The infection rate of a malleable is less than inflatable, close to 0; doesn't know why for sure, but it hardly ever gets infected.
Glans engorgement with malleable may be better than with inflatable because inflatable expands so much and is so hard that it can restrict blood flow.
Over time, the tissue around the malleable will expand, increasing girth. However, because of the tissue expansion, the base will become wobbly over time. After many years, you will need to take it with your hand to place it into position because it will no longer be firm enough at the base. However, the hardness of the shaft does not change.
Said 'Coloplast is the best' because it has a 'slippery coating' that makes it easier for the surgeon to slide it in and place it perfectly accurately. Also mentioned that it's good for bending/concealability.
No bruising will be present on the shaft after surgery.
3 weeks post-surgery cleared for sex.
Incision is vertical on the scrotum and not noticeable after surgery.
Erosion happens when the surgeon does not do perfect placement initially. If the surgeon does the job exactly right, erosion will not occur.
Over the years, some degree of tissue atrophy will occur due to the constant hard state. This means the glans will become smaller and tissue thinner. This is the major advantage of inflatable over malleable.
Expectation is that the malleable will last for life without need for revisions.
So when he said this, I asked as a follow-up, 'Have you seen a patient with a malleable for 20 years?' and he took his hand and moved it side to side like imitating the implant flopping all over the place and said, 'This is what it looks like'. The implant is not changing, but the tissue around the implant is loosening up to the point that the base is no longer firm, and it just drops in the direction of gravity. So you pick it up with your hand, put it inside, and then it stays where it's put, basically.
Because the rod is a fixed object, and that hardness never changes over time. The tissue is loosening around the rod due to the constant pressure, and girth increases, but your erection is always as hard as the rod. So basically, the shaft hardness never changes, but at the base, it becomes wobbly over the years.
My takeaway from the consultation is that the biggest advantages of malleable are lifetime survivability, ability for instant/spontaneous usage, and possibly better blood flow to the glans, which equals more comfort/sensitivity, and the biggest drawbacks are glans atrophy & loss of firmness at the base over time.
For the question about which brand of malleable he personally recommends to patients, his response was: 'Coloplast is the best' and 'you can expect to have it for life'!"

MY doc told me i will get a call with in one month
One month is not bad. Good for you. I thought there would be a long waiting list for "quality or life" surgeries in Canada.
Just to let you know, that I am in BC and I just saw a urologist for a Trimix script. I asked him about Malleable's if came to that one day. It is a two year lead in here. I am hoping the Trimix lasts me a long time.
The Urologist said that I can only get an inflatable in BC and doesn''t recommend the malleable. But that seems to be the case with N.A urolgists.

Well MPP are covered by OHIP in ontario and IPP are $3500 and also waiting period is very less then BC
