This is very intriguing. Thank you for sharing! It sounds like sensitivity might be better with a softer shaft for some individuals. Compressed nerves in a super hard situation could potentially cause this and might be another contributing factor.

Many guys experience some temporary numbness after an implant. But that’s normal. As your body heals, sensation gradually returns and, for many men, all of the good feelings typically associated with an erection are retained. Of course, as with any(!) medical procedure, there can be complications. All surgery involves risk. But the success rate for penile implants is very high. As a member of the Bionic Boys Club, I try to inform guys contemplating an implant that the recovery period is both uncomfortable and slow. Having the proper mindset and fully understanding the realities of recovery are important. But, in the long run, it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for myself! I’m nine months post-op and mostly recovered. The scars are still slowly improving. But as for sensation, I have absolutely no regrets!

Oh, and just as a quick aside: I don’t think this is selfish at all! I wish more men felt comfortable asking these sorts of questions.

Stay strong, gentlemen!

Now, I’m happy to say I ejaculate daily, sometimes even twice a day. With my wife, it’s usually every other day, and on the other days, I masturbate. The orgasms are incredibly intense. The sensitivity is slightly less, but it gives me more time to enjoy before ejaculation. Interestingly, I’ve found that masturbating works best when the implant is either deflated or only slightly inflated.

That is one of the things that worry me. I mean I could masturbate half-mast now but I don't because it sucks. It is not arousing at all because it's missing that fully engorged feeling and stretching of the skin that feels good and is a major part of what gets me off. So I am not at all interested in masturbation with a half-mast implant.

So I would expect the implant to feel good fully hard otherwise I might just as well spare myself the pain and trauma of the surgery.

Really interesting thread IMHO and I am just shy of 3 months post surgery and a long with being unable to orgasm because the shaft is still pretty sensitive and when fully erect I have almost no sensation. I sure hope that in a few months the sensitivity lessons and the nerves come back. Its pretty disappointing at this point.

After the healing time, which is very individual, the sensitivity, that one had before, should be back,
Getting a hard dick now, changes your mind set and changes your attitudes in a positive way, so you should get a better orgasm and ejaculation.
There also are some ingredients to increase ejaculation volume, like lecithin, Zinc and other supplements.

I had the implant just for me. The wife was never really into sex but makes sure I am happy. I was not drawn in by the "whenever you want, as long as you want" pitch because that is how I was before cancer took it. Orgasms are the same, intercourse or masterbation. Sensation my be slightly different but in the high 90% like it was, and a miracle compared to no erection. I am not one who could orgasm without one and can't even imagine that. First sex was at 5 weeks and was feeling a bit sore but really horny by then and it was not an issue. Took a good 6 months before the sore feeling at max pumps went away but again not much of a problem and I knew it would eventually go away.
I know some guys freak out about injections but it was a simple black and white choice for me, erection or no. When injections stopped working again a simple choice, and so much better than injections, pumps, etc. Imo
