18 days with pain is pretty common. 25? Not so much. Call the doc and see if you can see him
It sounds like multiple places. What pain meds? Could you be adjusting to them? Boomerang effect? I can be that way sometimes.
Best of luck!

Re: Chronicling my implant journey (40)
I'm on day 18 mostly pain free, getting in and out of chairs can cause aggro still cant sleep on my side properly, reservoir has been giving me a ton of grief lately with random shooting pains. Can still feel what i think is internal bruising in places if i apply pressure and on occasion random bouts of pain here and there through out the day but nothing is consistent and it never lasts long.
I definitely have a pain in my perineum but i know the reason for that and thats my dippy surgeon decided to install the pump is the most random stupid location ever, not in my sack like normal it seems to be right at the back on my sack half in it and half in the perineum and pointed in the direction of my leg.... i'm currently in the process of trying to get that sorted out but the surgeon decided to be the hardest person in the world to get hold of all of a sudden.

What do you mean by boomerang effect? As in when you stop taking the meds, it hurts more than before? My surgeon is hard to reach a bit snarky when I ask things, most of the replies are along the lines of stop worrying kinda ironic because I’m an ex-martial art arts competitor and my pain tolerance is definitely not low.
Pump seems in a normal place so I’m not sure that’s it, even if the tube in my sack seems too long and bunches.
Overall it feels more like some things are pinching a nerve. Not looking forward to growing old if that’s the rollercoaster of “I don’t know what that is” that I will have to expect.

Yeesh! If he's snarky I'd be biting back. No need to be snarky in the medical field - thats a sure road to a malpractice suit!
Yes as in stop taking the meds pain can come back worse. I have that with Alieve (motrin). So I stay away from it. Learned my lesson with Bursitis on Alieve in my early 40's.
At the end of the day you could be right - pinched nerve - especially if it all happens in the same area with the same cause. Inconsistancy is a strange symptom and they COULD argue its in your head - push back on that and explain to them your martial arts background.
Good luck on your healing!

Day 30 - First Checkin
Had my first checkin with the surgeon and first pumping. A mixed bag, to be honest.
They said everything is looking good and I'm ready to go, including (for the record of anyone else reading this):
- sex and masturbation
- getting anal
- being tied for balls and cock (shibari, sleeves, cbt etc)
- cockrings (for the engorgement)
Pump works but makes a silly squeaky noise. Doesn't bother me too much as I don't care whether my partners know about the implant or not, but if you do: it's very audible!
Tried pumping and masturbating - works fine, feeling is more intense than before, but this might be because I had to hold off for this long.
It gets rock hard, but points slightly downwards (which I did not before), and pumping to the max doesn't hurt as much as I would have assumed. Very bearable.
HOWEVER! I thought since I was half inflated and had some krinkles, that I would expand a fair bit when pumped. That is currently not the case. I'm about 2/3 of my previous size, fully inflated. Not what I expected (even if I expected some initial size loss). This is from my direct pre-op size the day before (not from some magical before time).
Surgeon said "this is what it is" and I might get a tad more with sexual arousal from engorgement. He believes there is no scientific backup for any of the Perrito exercises and similar attempts to regain size.
Following what I keep reading on there forums and in studies online, most people get back to where they were, so I try not to stress about it. But it is weird going from 18cm to 12cm erect...I will just trust the process.

I'm surprised the surgeon didn't mention that the length should improve.
45yo, venous leak. Pills increased tinnitus (very rare). Using bimix+atropine, 0.2 of:
Atropine Sulfate: 52MCG/ML, Phentolamine MES: 0.9MG/ML, Papaverine HCL: 26MG/ML

In fact, he specifically said it will not and this is what it is. This seems to run counter a lot of both anecdotal and study evidence but maybe he’s just trying to cover his ass or something.

Day 32
Cycling causes unbearable pain. And that I mean 10 out of 10 I’m bowling over and almost crying level pain. I don’t think I’ve read anyone describing it so intensely anyone here can tell me if they have the same experience? Or did you guys just load up on opioids or something?
I don’t really have a low pain tolerance at all, so this comes a bit as a surprise. But burning sensation in the glans, pain along the shaft, crazy pain in the perineum, pain in the balls, literally everywhere just from five minutes keeping it inflated.
Pain also doesn’t subside afterwards so it basically hurts the whole day. Sadly, the doctor will be away of holidays so I have no idea if this is how it’s supposed to be.
Would really appreciate anyone’s input here.

Ok so im fresh to cycling my self, i started this week (week 3) first cycle i expected more pain but it wasnt too bad for me i certainly had pain in the tips, like a burning/stinging/itching all rolled into 1, i felt pressure on my rectum strangely enough, no pain in my shaft at all. i was able to hold the inflate for 30 mins, the discomfort only increased as time went on after 30 minuets it was unbearable i had to deflate. My most painful experience there though was deflating as my left testicle tube is sat right over the deflate button and i seem to be unable to move it.
I didnt cycle the next day due to the bruising to the testicle, the pain/discomfort remained in my tip over that day also. i cycled for the 2nd time on Wednesday i was able to put more consistent pumps in on this one than i was the first, again no pain in my shaft but exactly the same pain in my glans. I was still able to hold it for 30 mins and after painfully deflating again i had the same burning/stringing/itching in my glans but this time i only lasted half a day.
My theory on why my cycling isn't as bad as others is because i think i'm "modestly sized. i dont think i'll gain anything in terms of length cycling because the surgeon played it super safe, Where as i think the people who were aggressively sized who do definitely get gains from cycling have a harder time initially because its stretching everything out. From your perspective if your worried about gains then i think the pain is a "positive" its gonna be a rough couple of months for you, some people i see say it took them a year before they could cycle pain free.

Rule 1:
Everyone is different and your results / experiences may vary.
Rule 2:
Listen to your body. If it hurts stop.
Rule 3:
It gets worse before it gets better.
Rule three there is supposed to be key, and its one I see over and over in threads is that the pain will be there as you begin cycling. With an IPP you are going things to your body that it doesn't like and it takes time to get used to it. Your penis worked VERY differently before and now you have bits of plastic inside pushing against parts of it that were NEVER designed to be pushed against. Think about how sensitive new skin is and thats what you have going on - but INSIDE your dick!
I do read that its not uncommon to take tylenol before a session - and get in a HOT bath for a good 20 minutes before you begin pumping as the warmth will help.
Mine ached pretty good after my first 'test' inflation which I did early - so no more of that until I'm absolutely ready at week 6. I'll deal with the pain then - AND be able to use hot baths to help soothe the pain.
