Bicycle saddle after implantation
Bicycle saddle after implantation
Hello, I would like to start lightly bicycling again. Do you have any recommendations on what kind of bicycle saddle to buy? I am based in Europe and my type of bicycle is gravel. Selle Italia saddles have caught my eye, specifically, this one: https://www.selleitalia.com/flite-boost ... superflow/ Secondly, Ergon saddles have caught my eye: https://www.ergonbike.com/en#dealer_search
1995, VL since 18, pills dont work, injections sometimes provide good 20 minute erection which hurts

Those both look like good choices Eloquent.
I thought I would have lots of problems with my saddle when I was ready to get back on my bike. I ordered some no nose saddles, one was the Hobson Easy Seat because I feared that the pump bulb would be causing pain down there with the other two brothers. The no nose saddle was awful because your sit bones sit right on top of the saddle rather than hugging the saddle. I went back to my two original saddles. I have a ISM 1.1 40 saddle on my 2023 Specialized Tarmac Expert which provides comfort and space to prevent numbness. Here is the link

On my 2015 Sworks Tarmac, I use a Specialized Power saddle, which is comfortable also.
I got back on my bike at 4 weeks for easy miles with the Hobson Easy Seat but it was awful because you always had to adjust your sit bones on top of the seat. I ditched it after a week and sent it back. I switched back to my regular saddles and I didn't have any problems and haven't looked back. The boys don't get crowded by their third cousin, they just find their place in my cycling bibs.
You're going in the right direction
Good Luck, SWorks

Regardless of an implant or not [ i have a malleable] those skinny bike seats are asinine.
when i started riding bikes again and long distance , those bike seats felt like sitting on a 2x4 upturned . who the fock came up with that great idea?
i went and got the original old style wide fuul width seat ,with cushioning , as did others who were tired of having a sore ass . After i had the implant and rode after the recommended time to wait ,i could feel the rods under the body weight on the seat .
i cant imagine if i had tried using that so-called seat you have picked out .
but good luck , each to their own .

Re: Bicycle saddle after implantation
I found one of these saddles (https://www.sq-lab.com/en/products/saddles/) to be very comfortable. They come in different widths, amounts of gap in the middle, and different firmness levels. I have the Saddle 610 Infinergy® M-D active 2.1, and I love it. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny.
Re: Bicycle saddle after implantation
I use the same saddle I did prior to being implanted. Zero issues.
