So I’m going in on 4th February to have an AMS 700CX implant. Getting it done privately at a hospital in London by Prof Asif Muneer. Gonna be in for 2 nights apparently because of the drain.
Feeling very anxious, but excited at finally going down this route, been 19 months since my RALP and nothing has worked to regain an erection. Best thing was using Bi-mix injection but getting a needle phobia
Any advice welcomed on what I should expect and what I need to prepare for when I come home
Will keep you guys updated
Thanks in advance
Got my date
Re: Got my date
Had mine done through nhs november 26th, i'm just a little of 6 weeks recovery shy. If your a side sleeper get your self a pillow for between your legs sleeping is hard work after the implant, a donut cushion is also a good purchase. stock up on pain killers and ibuprofen some guys have a real easy recovery, some dont, either way doubt you'll be leaving the house anytime soon so make sure you stock up on the pain meds.

Congrats and welcome to the club! My story is very similar to yours. Had RALP in July 2023 with zero return of normal erections - but I also developed Peyronies after. Got the AMS 700 CX and MS pump. Doc advised to stay away from the Tenacio as its too new yet.
Only advice I can give - don't be dismayed by loss of size. You may get some back - but hey - after 19 months of zero function - you'll be happy to be functional again!! Hang tight and good luck!

48yo gay married male - Size before cancer / ED = 7.5" x 6.25" (current 5.5x5.2). AMS 700 CX implanted 12/9/24. 18cm + 1cm RTE and 18cm + 2cm RTE.

Congrats. It is a tough decision, but the results should be worth it.
If you are staying two nights in the hospital, they will make sure your catheter and drain are doing fine. And keep your pain to a minimum. Once you get home a comfy couch might be where you'll spend the next few days. Have food and things you'll need/want prepared. Many say ice packs help to reduce swelling. The surgeon should prescribe some pain meds. Keep on top of any pain so it doesn't get out of control.

What I found helped was really getting my mind in a good place.
Expect alot of questions your own brain will start asking you.
"What am I doing.... why am I doing this...... I still have time to cancel"
This is normal, we ALL have some degree of doubt.
I would advise going alone for long walks, or like I do... find some mountain trail to hike
and escape for a few hours as your deadline approaches.
A calm mind is REALLY important going into this.
My wife and I just banged out a 2 hour non-stop session yesterday night.
Every position under the sun was implemented with no issues whatsoever.
Just two happily exhausted human beings.
It's been an incredible two year ride so far.
I am actually better at 58 than I was at 18.
I kid you not.
Good luck.
Keep us posted.

Have patience, cycle per Dr's instructions(mine had me do daily 2-3 times per day for one year) and before you know it you will become one very happy man. GL to you!
