One month update
I had my official activation appointment yesterday with my urologist. I say official because I had in fact already inflated quite a few times, starting from day 18 or so. Dr Beley was super busy because his assistant/colleague didn’t show up that day, so all of his patients (including me) had to wait up to an hour and a half more than scheduled. So when I told him I already knew how to inflate, he was quite relieved as it meant our appointment could be shorter haha.
He looked at my incision and said it looked really good (it’s sealed and you can barely tell already that I had surgery there) and asked me how I felt in general, how was my pain level, including during inflation, and whether my glans engorged. Here’s an overview of my current status:
Cycling
As per my doctor’s instructions, I now cycle either 30min twice a day or an hour once a day (in the evening), depending on my schedule. He said it shouldn’t make a difference, the main thing is to stretch the tissues and the cylinders. I expected a lot more pain from cycling I have to say. I mean sure it starts to hurt after 15/20min or so, especially if I try to bend my penis. But the pain is not horrible, and it is more than offset by the fact that I now have a working penis. It is hard to believe in many ways, when I cycled this morning I took a shower, did a couple of chores around the house and whenever I reached down there, my duck was still rock hard. I will continue cycling everyday as described (most likely twice a day) for 6 months and do the Perito exercises.
Measurements/feeling/appearance
I can already say that I am pleased with my post op measurements, and I am confident I will gain more size as time passes. Right before surgery, I was about 10cm flaccid and 16.5cm erect. As of now, I am about 11.5/12cm flaccid and 15.5cm erect and sexually aroused. I emphasise sexually aroused because it absolutely does make a difference for both girth and length (more on girth later). Fully engorged glans do add up to 1.5cm to my overall length, and boosts the width of my dick too as the corpus spongiosum still functions and can swell.
And this brings me to the following observation: my glans do engorge, and do so more, or at least for longer, than before. Before the implant, I had ED but not full blown ED. I still often had morning wood, it is just that my erections were completely unreliable. Without pills or injections, I would lose my erections as soon as I stepped out of the bed. I could masturbate often with strong erections, but I required constant stimulation and would often only have a half chub if I stood up to masturbate. I could literally feel and see the blood leaving my penis faster than it entered, like an old sponge unable to hold much liquid anymore. Call that a venous leak or whatever, I honestly do not care. All I know is that my dick was broken, or to put it mildly, dysfunctional.
But now, with an implant, when I pump up, the head does in fact engorge regardless of arousal, only that it does more so if I’m horny. Let’s say that it swells at least 50/60% up to its maximum, by virtue of what I suppose are the cylinders pushing the glans outwards. But it seems it goes beyond that, because there surely is more blood going to the glans, otherwise they wouldn’t swell like that, so there may be a story about blood flows being redirected somehow. Anyhow, the outcome is GREAT.
Sensation/pain
I haven’t had the chance to use the implant with a girl yet, but I surely will in the next few weeks/months. I will report back to you with a detailed field report hehe. But as far as masturbation goes, everything feels great and like before. Orgasms feel the same, they aren’t delayed or anything. All my sensitivity is back (this took some weeks of course as I had lots of pain initially). As inflation starts to hurt after 20min or so, I’m sure that sex the I’ll initially be painful but a) it will get better, and b) I can always go a little slower. Maybe my testicles are still tender such that I would prefer my partner to be more gentle, but again time heals all wounds.
Everyday life, comfort
I have to say that one aspect of this IPP I have trouble with is having to get used to having a longer, bigger dick and overall package. Again, I am sure that things will improve but now a month post op, I still sometimes walk funny, cannot walk for as long as I used to (I’m a waking and hiking fanatic, like I can walk for hours on weekends), and I feel constrained in performing some basic movements. I’m going skying with friends in three weeks and I don’t know how this will go haha. I can always go very slow as my surgeon emphasized that I should avoiding falling. I hope that this thing will become more flexible over time. Another problem I have is that, while the pump is well positioned when I stand up and my balls are saggy, it is quite low and sort of arches slightly backwards towards my anus if that makes sense, such that it pushes against my scrotum. I feel this especially at night for some reason. But I can live with that and again, I feel confident this will improve.
Mental health, satisfaction
Though I am quite early in the recovery process, I can already tell that I did the right thing and that this thing will vastly improve my mental health and outlook on life. It is pretty cool to know that, with about 10 pumps, I can obtain a rock hard boner that only goes down when I want (though it starts to hurt after some time). I only hope that it will last over 10 years!
All the best and happy new year to all of you!
