Coloplast Titan: Flat, Unnatural Appearance

Didn’t expect such a flat/pancake look

After a very difficult postop recovery, I am thrilled to be able to activate pump on my own and deflate. That’s all great. However… I am a little taken aback by the size loss of a solid half inch and the flat look of the penis when it is firm. I was told by my doctor that the Coloplast Titan is superior to the AMS because the AMS had a flatter look, whereas the Titan when pumped up would be rounder. That is not the case for me. How is it for other men? Maybe as I’m able to get more pumps in it will be rounder? Right now I can get in maybe 10 pumps, manipulate a little and maybe two or three more. It seems firm enough for intercourse, which I hope to try out very soon, but certainly not hard as a steel rod or marble, as some of the men have mentioned. But I am only a few days in pumping….

Once I start having intercourse and finally experiencing enjoyment, I don’t think it will matter much, but I am honestly a little bit taken aback at the appearance, which is not that of a natural erect penis because of the flatness. I had gone in wanting an AMS, but, unfortunately, my surgeon, Dr. Eid, deals exclusively with Coloplast. Again, in the long run, it shouldn’t matter… I do feel that pretty much everything I was promised before surgery has not yet come to pass (size, easy recovery, appearance).

My Titan when I had it also was more oval than round, my AMS LGX is slightly more rounded but neither gave me the roundness that I had naturally. Not complaining though as I love to pump and play.

I was implanted with a CX 5 weeks ago and I have the same “problem”, my dick is flatter than before. Why am I putting brackets? Because I see this as a non-issue. It does not impact functionality and I doubt many women would care or even notice.

In addition, the implant does not impact the engorgement of your glans and underside of your shaft. You should notice that when you’re aroused, these parts engorge, giving a fuller, rounder aspect to your penis. So whatever you used to do to get erections before the implant - barring injections - you can still use to complement and bolster your erections.

I have the exact same issue when injecting without arousal, and found it disconcerting early on that my dick was so flat. With arousal, it does fill out more. Really, it's just two large tubes side-by-side, so your dingle should be about twice as wide as it is thick. I'd really like to know if your shape changes under real-word usage conditions.

You can ask your doctor to prescribe cialis to assist in engorgement. The shaft is much more round post engorgement. Thankfully the implant does not affect the ability for glans to engorge.

I will find out soon enough! I just posted because I was a bit surprised at the appearance, I know it is something to get used to. After my very difficult postop recovery I am so glad I made it through to the other side. I am lucky I have a long-term partner, but I think that if a woman handles the penis, or performs oral sex, it will be very noticeable that I have an implant. I don’t care because my partner already knows and was my nurse through my difficult recovery. Many guys here have posted that they have been with women who could not tell, but I am not sure if that is just for vaginal intercourse.

I’m hoping none of it will matter and I will get more used to the implant after I start having pleasurable sex… it’s been a long time….

PS Tuscan, you don’t mean that you are injecting with an implant, do you?

Martin25, you're finding out why I was so adamant to not measure until 3 months had passed. It can take up to 1 year, sometimes longer. For your implant & body to get accustomed to each other. Your pubic fat pad is swollen now so that makes your penis look shorter. My advice, quit checking it out. Just follow your drs orders. It will be what it'll be. Your job is to cycle consistently.

A guy that had a Titan installed just a few months before I had my CX installed by the same surgeon complained of the "surfboard" look with his Titan. I never had that with my CX, but after a few months he said it was much better.
I've never heard that it's more of an issue with the CX, I've read about here on FT many more times with the Titan.

It should get better.

Search "surfboard" in this implant forum and see what comes up.
