Precisely, considering that the bulk of men needing an implant are 50+ of age. Whats the mens average life span?? Maybe 80 years? You could easily blow half of your potential remaining sex life away. There is no way on gods green earth that I can understand dreaming about this implant.

Malleables make more sense to me. Which is saying a lot because I'd only get a malleable if I had an infection. At least a malleable is available today. Implantable by a long list of drs.

Can any of the members contact with Dr Brian Van Le (inventor of implant) and ask him about this implant? What stage is the implant development at? I tried asking him on x (twitter). But it looks like he hasn't been on x for a long time. Maybe someone could try asking on Facebook? (I can't sign up for Facebook)

Ok, I read the link you provided. It was for a $270,000 usd grant. That amount of money will only get you a paper written on a theory. Highly unlikely to be any actually real life testing.

A biophysicist told me once that he would never get an implant that has not been tested in the real world for at least a decade. I heard the same from a high-volume orthopedic surgeon who has seen multiple recalls of hip and knee implants during his long career.

For any credible research to be done. It needs to be funded by an organization with deep pockets. That level of product developement is astronomically expensive. Great mind cost a lot. Likely candidates would be Coloplast or Boston Scientific. Two of the leaders in implantable medical devices in the USA. Since I'm pushing 69 & my CX works very well. Even if this works, I'll be long gone before most of the bugs are worked out. To those that want to hide their implant or pumping. I just don't see packing the activation "device" with you everytime you go out. "Hey, whats that thing on your keychain? Oh its my dick remote control"! Ya, a buzz kill in my opinion. But what do I know? Some people just love the new tech stuff on the market.

That is a dud. Says maybe 5-10 years. Checking the publications date. They're already 8 years in to it. Unlikely to be ready in only two years.
