How are the AMS CX tips compared to the titans?

Postby FMLFML85 » Wed Jan 29, 2025 8:15 pm

The titans tips are very hard and sharp. I think the tissue in my glans is thinning because of it. Also you can feel the tips when touching the glans while inflated. How hard are the tips in the AMS CX compared to the Titans tips?

AMS tips are also very hard, pretty much the same as the Titan.

Dang was hopping there was a softer alternative to the titan. I would love it if the titan had cushioned soft tips. I’d like to also see how inflated it can get without the sharp ends blasting my glans.

I think the Titan tips are more pointed than the AMS, where the AMS seems to be more round. I have not had the pain so far with the AMS but I would get it with the Titan.

I agree on this, it makes absolutely no sense at all that they are this hard. They should be firm, but not rock hard.
A softer silicone layer should be easy, but for some reason they don't do it.

I thought tips were very pointy with Titan with my first surgery. With revision surgery, surgeon said he contoured the tips based on my complaint so they were more rounded at the tips.

He said you can do it with titan since it has a bigger silicone piece at the tip vs. the AMS. I thought that was pretty creative on the part of the surgeon and so far, feel like it causes less pressure/pain in the glans compared to the first titan implant.

Dr Hakky covers this in one of his videos, the Titan is more firm and pointy where the AMS is rounder ( still firm but in the video you see him press down on the tips and the AMS appears to be softer or more giving so to speak.) I can't speak for the Titan but my AMS 700 CX while I can feel them in the glans they aren't rock hard, just firm but giving.

I have checked out the tips of both implants at my docs office. Pics below:

They seemed to have the same hardness when I felt them in my hands. The Titan has a more acute angle from the inflatable portion to the tip though. But right at the tip the roundness seems to be about the same. According to Hakky the Titan tips conforms more to the glans structure.

But folks here are saying that AMS is softer. Again an example of implants feel being different inside the penis than from being outside on a table.

I'm currently leaning towards the Titan but this would be a huge turnoff it true.
55 years. Using bimix 0.4 units. Works well but inconsistent and very inconvenient. Seriously considering an implant. 6.4 inches bone pressed length to tip, 5 inches girth base, 4.5 inches girth mid-shaft.

Do you know how he contoured the tips of the Titan? You mean he machined it to become rounder at the tips?

The way he described it and what's written in the surgery note - he removed the string that comes pre-attached from the factory to pass the implant into the penis. He used black handled heavy Mayo scissors to contour the tip. A Prolene suture was placed into the distal cap of each cylinder to pass the Keith needle, avoiding injury to the inflatable component, which was cycled prior to implantation.

I don't think its any softer, but its less pointy for sure in my glans compared to the Titan before.
