Dr. T Hakky...Atlanta

Postby ceekay87 » Mon Feb 17, 2025 12:51 pm

I am scheduled to be implanted by Dr. Hakky on March 18 in Atlanta. AMS CX penoscrotal. I been using VED every day per his instructions twice a day (got 30 degree peyronies) and will continue up until the night before surgery. I am very impressed with him so far. He is really down to earth and personable. Cool dude! He sells himself quite well as he probably should being that he is such a high volume Dr.

I would like to know YOUR post op experience with Dr. Hakky. Drains? Cycling? Release to use. What was his timeline for you? In conversation with him he seems to be in favor of cycling sooner than many other IPP surgeons. How about post op recovery and procedure? How long before sex? Just want to know what to expect from some of hi actual patients. Very excited about all the new possibilities.....yet still nervous!!! TIA

My IPP surgery by Dr Clavell in Houston was on 1/29/25. Before insurance reimbursement (I have Medicare and Aetna PPO) the total cost for surgeon, hospital, anesthesiologist, drugs, implant etc was $32k. But while I was under the knife, he discovered I also needed correction for Peyronie's. So maybe if all I had was an IPP for ED it would have been less?

Yes. Additional maneuvers are charged extra.
Cash pay quotes for office procedure, hospital procedure, and insurance billing quotes will also show different rates for the same surgeon.

Don't know about hakky but prices are all over the place my revision with insurance was 63k, I have read on Franktalk prices as high as 150k , that was the VA, they get to charge the government. What they all get is another matter

I don't have an implant yet but have had several consults with Dr. Hakky. Excellent doc with exceptional innovative skills and extraordinary manners.

1) Cycling: If no complications day 5
2) Does infrapubic, penoscortal and subcoronal
3) Prefers a 1.7cm horizontal penoscortal incision
4) Uses a negative pressure drain, removed after day 2. Helps drain out edema
5) Uses a catheter under anesthesia for urethral identification

Can I ask you a favor? If you talk to him before surgery, can you find out if he still uses a dilator for distal dilation and if not then how does he get access to the distal part? I heard he uses a brooks for proximal and doesn't use any dilators for the distal part anymore.
55 years. Using bimix 0.4 units. Works well but inconsistent and very inconvenient. Seriously considering an implant. 6.4 inches bone pressed length to tip, 5 inches girth base, 4.5 inches girth mid-shaft.
