As an aside: I do carry my implant information card with my passport while traveling. But I’ve never needed to use it. At least, not yet!

It’s never happened to me before, despite frequent international travel. Much to my amusement, the security guy was confused that he couldn’t find anything in my pockets. One thorough pat-down later and he said he had no idea what the scanner was detecting. I could have told him about the implant, but I was kinda enjoying his befuddled confusion. Ultimately, they just let me go on my way. If he had asked about medical devices, I would have been fully honest about the implant. But he never asked, so I didn’t tell. LOL!
