I had new Titan Coloplast implanted April 2. It appears that I have lost 2-3 inches in length (estimate) and some girth.
The inflammation was ridiculous post op. Most in the penis is gone but quite a bit remains over the pubic bone. This is part of what is affecting my length loss I believe. Also, I do not believe I am getting full inflation due to pain during inflation. Will incomplete end result inflation cause length loss? Easier way to ask, once I'm able to gain girth back through stretching will some of my length (described as significant by the urologist) also recover with greater inflation?
During intercourse right now the external skin is still as long and pliable as prior to surgery which poses an odd problem. The skin stays in place a bit when inserted which makes the inside of the penis slide a bit within the skin. This obviously detracts from the friction needed for pleasurable feeling for my wife.
Yesterday was 8 week point.
The above mentioned "disappointments" I am hoping will be remedied in time.
I am probably not inflating as much as I should because max inflation now is uncomfortable but I assume this is part of the process? The discomfort of restretching maybe?
I have seen posts where guys are doing 2 inflations a day for about 15 minutes. I have also seen one where the guy is inflating as much as possible at bed time and deflating in the morning.
Am I being unrealistic in my expectations only 8 weeks out?
The other place inflammation is causing an issue is right around the pump ball and release themselves. It's like they are encased in a soft ball. Being inflammation I am able to manipulate through it to operate the pump and release both but it is literally tiring as the inflammation makes both more difficult to maintain grip on. Like trying to mash a wet watermelon seed between thumb and finger that keeps slipping away.
I feel like after I hit "send" twenty more questions are going to arise.
Give me good news please and I apologize if this has been answered as I was unable to find a previous post arching my exact concerns, insecurities and fears.

I hate to disappoint you (or break the news to you), but you didn't "lose" length from your penile implant. Sure, everyone says they do, lose from 1cm to 5-6 inches, I've read them all. The thing is the surgeon just sizes your penis and fits it in, he isn't changing your whole penis. Your other issues won't get as much attention and reliability so to speak from medical folks because it just isn't possible to "lose' your penis by having an implant sized to your penis. Sorry, it just isn't as big as you think it is or it's not as big as it was when you were 18. Not trying to be harsh, I just am letting men like me, I had an implant too, understand that docs don't alter size. The other things about inflammation and pain- I had some persistent discomfort for a couple weeks, but by week 6 was gone. Still I'd be patient...

I think so. Some guys are not even inflating at 8 weeks, much less having intercourse. Of course, some are doing great at 2-3 weeks. It just varies a lot.
1) Check with your doctor about your inflammation. Probably ok, but it should be checked. Sooner rather than later.
2) Don't judge anything until your inflammation goes away. Even so, wait at least 6 months before you judge where you are. There are a few men who see significant changes 9-18 months post op. Not common, but it happens. Plenty see changes months after surgery.
3) Try lube with intercourse.
4) One of the hard (sorry about the pun) things about an implant is learning to hold and squeeze the pump. Its slippery and you need to experiment and practice a lot to find the best way for you to handle it so it doesn't slip so easily and often. Try one handed and two handed. Use more fingers. Try wrapping a finger or two around the pump. Ask your doctor to show you how he holds it when he pumps you up. You might want to hold it differently, but thats a start. The Titan instructions showing using two fingers, thumb and one other, are a joke. Do that and you'll cause the pump to slip and smash your balls every time. Don't be surprised if it takes a few weeks of experimentation. Will probably be easier when the inflammation goes away too.
5) Most docs recommend at least daily inflation for therapy. Inflate to the point its uncomfortable. If you can, squeeze more periodically. I don't think leaving it overnight is necessary or beneficial but a few guys have done it. Some docs suggest once a day. Some twice a day. Some say leave it for 15 minutes. Some an hour. But it will be much easier and more comfortable to do it when the inflammation is gone. Check with your doc about how much inflation therapy is beneficial for you both generally and now, while you have so much inflammation.
