hankthefrank, yes, I take multiple meds that are known to interfere with erections. Unfortunately those meds offset damage in my body that isn't known to self repair. So I'm stuck with those meds at least until better meds come along. Prior to being implanted I could only reach somewhere around 70% of an erection, even with pills and injections. Long story short -- it appeared my corpora cavernosa were damaged. And that tissue is known to not self repair, with the exception of stem cell treatment which is a long way from being a repeatable and widespread solution.
Hence -- the implant. As a solution its not perfect, and a lot can go wrong with the procedure. But for a very high percentage of us it is a very good solution that includes some new and very "next level" capabilities. There's a lot to be said for an on-demand, reliable, rock-hard erection that lasts as long as you want
