I will probably be implanted within about 6 weeks, I'm guessing around end of June/start of July.

What is the recovery process generally like?

I can work from home on a laptop, I'm often on the phone.

How soon will I be able to sit into a 8 - 9 hour shifts on the laptop at home?
Also sometimes I'm on the road doing business meetings. How soon will I be able to get back out onto the road again, meeting and greeting people etc? When will I be able to return to the office? How long does it take to recover penis size and have fulfilling sex sessions again?

I understand there will be no beer gardens or fun parties this summer but I'll get over that.

I'm a fairly healthy active 34 year old (35 this year). I work full-time, walk every day, jog every 2 weeks, gym twice a week, swim sometimes, cycle 1-2 times a week etc. I have no disability or serious medical issues apart from the broken penis.

Hi will you be doing a journal/updating on here?

I’m nearly 30 and have the same arrangement i.e. work in an office/from home and visiting clients. Would be great to know how this goes!

When is your operation?

Yes mate I'll do a journal. I wrote to my uro last night. I expect him to call me within 2 weeks, and then give me a date for the implant. That will probably be about 2 weeks after he calls. Therefore I would say I'll be on the operating table in about 4 or 5 weeks.

Amazing. That sounds like a great recovery. Hope I'm the same.

Has the size recovered OK?

When did you start cycling? Jesus the quicker I get this done the better lol. Would be amazing if he can have me in for surgery within the next 2 weeks.

Dr Eid in NYC was my surgeon. He has his patients start cycling VERY early, on day 3.

So I started cycling on day three.

My full length came back really quickly. Almost immediately. I’m thinner. My girth, large preop (6.5”) was down to 5.5” post op. The last time I measured a couple weeks ago I was 5.875”. So girth is coming back. There are pics and measurements in my journal post. The address is in my signature below.

Most surgeons don’t have their patients start cycling for several weeks. It’s important you follow YOUR surgeon’s instructions. They will have a plan that makes sense for their technique.

I’m incredibly happy I took this step. I have no regrets at all.

My opinion on girth is that while cycling the first thing that grows is length because cylinders have to stretch to maximum length and then girth and some length increase will come.
46 yo, ED since 3 years, tried pills. Venous leakage. Implanted 30/04/25 Pr. Andrianne CHU Liège coloplast titan OTR 20 cm +2 cm rte.
Initial measures ( ved 17.5 cm length, +-16 cm length +- 16 cm girth, 12cm partially inflated)

First four days, just stay in bed with ice packs always on your swollen package. I bought several large bags of frozen peas and used them continuously. I also was blessed with a gf who was willing to feed me and allow me to stay in bed the first few days. This is very important to do, and will lead to overall fast recovery.

After that, I was able to get up and spend some time on the couch, careful to never sit upright, on the package. At the end of the first week I was able to sit briefly in a car and spent an uncomfortable 2 hours at a dinner party. Sitting in a chair was highly uncomfortable, but not impossible.

Slow improvement in level of soreness and pain during second week, but I would have found it hard to concentrate on work issues. I could have worked on a laptop, and taken telephone calls, but it would have been challenging.

In weeks three and four, laptop work and phone calls doable, but you will still be sore and uncomfortable. You could also drive routinely and run around a little bit for work. I guess I could have worked if I had to, but it was nice not to have to do it.

By the end of week four I started cycling the implant and I was happy to restart sexual activities, and this is the time I think working a full week could be done without any trouble. Note: according to my doctor, I healed quickly, ahead of average, so your experience may differ. However, you are half my age, so 8nexpect you’ll heal very quickly as well.

Thanks for the input mate. It sounds like a challenging recovery process, but I guess I'll get there in the end. Sounds like I'll need 2 weeks off on sick leave, followed then by 2 weeks working from home. Then after 4 weeks I'll walk back into the office and ease myself back into normality from there. Good to know!

Has your penis recovered all of its original size? At this point does it look or feel weird? Does it function well for sex or masturbation?

My penis is at its original length and is now has a bit more girth than original, and I am only about two weeks into cycling exercises. As far as functionality, I initially found that it was hyper sensitive and that plenty of lube and a gentle touch was needed, but I could orgasm. We had our first really gratifying sexual intercourse this past week, both climaxing at the same time. After more than 10 years of severe ED, that was an amazing experience!
66 years old. Long term progressive ED. Pills and injections no longer the solution.
Implanted 4/4/2025. AMS 700CX 21cm with extenders
