Who has taken a break from injections?
Re: Who has taken a break from injections?
I injected from 2010 until May 2014. Worked great at first then developed scar tissue then PD. An upward curve the Trimix was increased dramatically with only a 65% erection. My urologist said I was done with injections; sent me to Allen Morey MD. Titan implant installed 5/28 and I am looking forward to using my bionic tool.

In fact my URO told me my testosterone levels were "robust"......I masturbate and can get nice and hard...I'm with a woman and the slightest distraction or the "What if" thought happens and I go limp.....just sick of it. I understand why guys get implants.....but it's truly "the last frontier" as someone said on this forum......something that's suppose to be so pleasurable, and enjoyable has become a dreaded affair.....and afterwards, is worse...although I've gotten better at not kicking the shit out of myself....My advice to younger guys is as the line goes in the movie "Little Miss Sunshine"....."F-ck a lot of women, f-ck a lot of woman"....sorry, my humor can get the best of me.
Im a young 62 and been dealing with ED for. 10 years. Pills stopped working, Trimix caused scars and they became undependable. Implanted on 5\28 with 22 cm Titan and Im not going to miss the anxiety waiting and hoping the previous methods would work.

I am really thinking to have my implant but i wonder if i will lose more length than what i already lost by prostatectomy.
I was 6.5 before surgery, now i am 4.5, will i lose more length with the implant or will i gain what i have lost?
I don't like injections anymore, sometimes they work and sometimes they make me very disappointed. Both my wife and i gave up with sex .
PC @ age of 45; nov. 2011 rectovesical fistula formed after prostatectomy; Dec. 2011colostomy done; july 2012 fistula was repaired; april 2013 colostomy was reversed; aug. 2013 back to normal life i started on injection therapy; +3 years now psa = 0.

Just saw your post.....I had Cardio-by-pass surgery 2 years ago.....I never smoked, exercised my whole life, cholesterol numbers were within normal limits etc...but it's in my family..father, uncle and my mother's male cousins all had coronary artery disease. I'm very active and am in great shape. I'm practically a full vegetarian....to answer your question I suspect the cause is circulatory...I started noticing difficulties in my early 50's (am now 59) but I was stuck in a bad marriage (which since ended) and I attributed the ED to that...Viagra worked liked a charm for me for about 7 years.....and then I noticed it was "hit or miss" with it....I had a younger woman I was seeing and didn't want to loose her so I went to injections....with intermittent use of Viagra...I did that for about 10 months until I noticed my dick curving to the left when I would be in the midst of getting an erection...and also noticed the erections were not as firm on injections as when I first started using them... So I went to a URO who was/is a specialist in Peyrones and he said I had some scarring, nodules.....stopped injecting about 6 weeks ago, went on a medication recommended for Peyrones especially in the early stages, Trental.....Vitamin E, Co-Q10, L-Arginine....so far so good. Last check up the Peyrones specialist said the scarring was reduced...In the meantime, I went back on pills (Viagra, Cialis, Stendra) with limited results...The Uro Doc who prescribed the Trimix consulted with the Peyrones specialist and they both agreed if I continue to progress with a reduction in the scarring, I might be able to inject again in about 2 months...but only once a week...Long answer to a short question....
I had the same problem. Scarring, not complete erections regardless of dosage. That is why I got an implant.

My doctor, Allen Morey MD of Dallas told me the longer your dick is inactive the less length you have. that is why, I suppose, it makes send to use a pump, not fir sex, but just to get blood in the organ. My conclusion, not his.
Re: Who has taken a break from injections?
I have definitely noticed an improvement in the quality of my erections since pumping....I stopped for a couple weeks partially becasue I was away in Mexico for about 10 days.....the last week or so, I've been trying to do it daily for 10-15minutes....I understand from reading posts on the PD forum that results from pumping take a while...like months even 1 year before your erections are stronger with improved girth, etc....the oxygenated blood is the therapy...it feeds the penile tissues with vital nutrients etc for mainting optimal health and healing damaged tissue. Low intensity pumping also is better than trying to pump up to a 6" erection...all that's important is getting fresh oxygenated blood to flood the tissues...that's my understanding anyway.
70 year old legally separated retired health-care professional. ED began in my early 50's. Viagra worked great for about 5 years, then had cardiac by-pass surgery and eventually moved to injections about 10 years ago.
Re: Who has taken a break from injections?
I had my 6-month check-up with the uro the other day. (Two years out from RP, PSA still zero)
Unfortunately I didn't see him, but saw his 35-ish, very attractive assistant (seen her before). I really didn't mind though.
She asked about erections, injecting, etc. I told her I hadn't injected since this past March, and was wondering if I start again should I continue to use from the vial I bought in March 2013.
She confirmed what I've read on this board: Go right ahead and try it. It may lose potency but it won't hurt you. Now all I have to do is get interested again. But while writing this post I got an email from a woman I took out a few weeks ago . . . so . . .

RP in 2012 because of prostate cancer. 100% ED, also some leakage problems.
Re: Who has taken a break from injections?
FTR: I injected last night after a 3-month break. I used my 15-month old Trimix and it works as well as it ever has, as far as I can tell.

Andy, all of us fans want to know, was it for practice or the real thing?
I hope it was the latter, but you probably needed to be sure first.
