First day after surgery and needing no pain meds today. I have been using ice to keep swelling down. I think not having to pee the usual way due to bladder removal for cancer two years ago makes this procedure easier. (I hope).
My Dr. In Austin sent me home bandaged up. The bandage comes off tomorrow and I'm wondering what underwear will give me support without binding too much.
I am 71 y/o old and wondered if I was being foolish to try implant. I found the posts here to be helpful.
I see Dr. H in two weeks. No temperature either. I was concerned about infection. How have you been able to have bowel movements? Using stool softeners etc?
Thanks for any feedback you can give me.

I think you made a wise decision to do the implant. I am 10 days post op, and 82 years old. Back at work and doing fine. Very little pain and/or discomfort. I don-t see age as a consideration for an implant. if you are alive and have the horror of ED, then we should do something about it. Good for you, and I hope you have many nice years with it.
My doc advised me to remove the scrotal support supplied at surgery after 48 hours, and wear a softer support that does not pull so much on the scrotum. I found some Jockey Pocket briefs that work well for me. Bought mine on line at Kohls.com. Relatively, inexpensive. These have a pocket that holds your equipment quite nicely.
To me, this is like the guy at the bottom of an abandoned well. If someone throws a rope in there for you, don't care who that someone is, just grab the rope!!
I wish you well in your recovery, my friend and I hope you have many years to enjoy it.
GOD BLESS,
Charlie

Thanks for info. I'll look up the shorts on Kohls. I do feel blessed that I have a loving partner to inspire and encourage me. I'm glad you are progressing well too.
