Hello men.
I'm starting this thread to document my impant journey, it'll be nice to keep a jounal of recovery progress and maybe it'll help someone else in the same situation facing ED and considering the implant route. Particulary for a young single guy who has intentions of getting plenty of casual sex with mulltiply partners before settling down like me .
Some info:
I turned 24 two months ago. My first experience with ED was aproximently 12 months ago following an accident which damaged a nerve in my pelvis. Previously I had no problems with ED. Experiencing ED as I'm sure everybody on here knows all too well was devastating. Mentally and emotionally it probably took 9 months to get over the depression and come to terms with it and look for a solution. A secondary problem unique to my situation is that I've lost a considerable amount of sensation but it still feels good and climax is very similar to pre accident levels which I'm thankful for.
I'm due to have surgery with Dr Kramer on Wed the 2nd July in Baltimore. My flight from the UK leaves tonight. I choose Dr Kramer after reading many positive experiences with him on here and he was very considerate and swift with our email exchanges.
The nitty gritty:
Pre-surgery erection measurement 6.25inch in length and 5.2inch in girth. Stretched length is just about 6.
I intend to go for the AMS 700 LGX mainly because of the more natural and softer feel when deflated as I spend a lot of time in locker rooms and would even like to go back to playing rugby after recovery so I would imagine it may be slightly more accommodating for that but I'll discuss this with Dr Kramer.
So I guess thats it. I'll up date this after surgery and document the recovery process regarding pain, post op length and general experiences. After I recover I'll update on how it goes with the ladies and my experiences with casual sex It's been almost a year since I suffered this affliction so I've got some serious making up to do in the shagging department!
Also I'd just like to thank all the men who post on here. This site has been an invaluable tool and has greatly helped me through this tough experience so it'll be nice to pass that on.
Good luck.

Re: TomFords Joruney
This encourages me to take into account an operation with Dr. Kramer when I need it, too. I used to think that being here in Europe, I ought to look for a surgeon in my country. But it's true misery here, and they have extremely little experience. They let them train by Prof. Wilson from the US who's already 73 years old. It's really risky to let oneself operate here in Germany by a german surgeon doing 5 implants a year. Maybe they succeed on virgin implants; but as it comes to revision op, they happen to exceed their limits.
Re: TomFords Joruney
I'm a few days post op with Dr. Kramer. So far it looks good. Pain is manageable. Barely taking the prescribed pain killers. Swollen and bruised at first but now looks decent. Incision looks scary though. Sure it will soon be good. Lost some sensivity in penis with my injury. It's hard for anyone to foretell how pleasurable things will eventually be. Guess I won't know this in at least six months anyway.
The hardest part is now all the waiting. For me it helps doing other things than constantly reading about implants and thinking about my penis. Three weeks and I should be back in the game.
Good luck with things. Keep us posted.

So I'm at the hotel in Baltimore. Getting here was very easy. I flew from Dublin to NYC then I got a connecting flight to Baltimore. Anyone with some travelling experience shouldn't have a problem getting here.
I just had my consultation with Dr Kramer. He made a great impression and he put me at ease straight away. We discussed the surgery and decided on going with the AMS device.
I'm first in line for surgery tomorrow so I have to be there at 6am.
If I can get wifi in the hospital I'll update tomorrow after surgery, if not it'll be the day after. Dr Kramer advised me to stay overnight just to be on the safe side.
Cheers for the comments. Good to know you're interested .

Oh and I'm travelling home again on Monday the 7th so that'll be 5days post op. The Dr said I could go home sooner but Id rather stay a few extra days and save the discomfort.
@tryfired: good to hear you've taken the big step. I'm sure it'll all work out well for you.

Tom: Congratulations on your decision (and determination). I'm almost 3 months post-op, and I cannot overstate what a positive life-changing decision this was for me. I thought I had no ED before prostate CA 3 years ago, but this implant is borderline unbelievable. It's a strange feeling to be rock hard during sex and know it's just going to stay that way as long as you want - thinking about your state of erection is no longer part of the equation. Just relax & enjoy the ride!
When I'm flaccid, I can feel the device but no one would know looking at it - but at full erection it's completely undetectable (except for the scrotal pump). That was one of the biggest surprises for me - the erection just looks and feels totally normal. I can relate to your story, I injected for 2 years with diminishing results - the whole ED thing was just traumatic...
You made the right decision - just give it some time after surgery to heal & allow your body to adapt. Don't judge your size until you are at least 2 months out. Once Kramer gives you the go ahead to begin pumping, do it at least twice a day, inflating as much as you can stand it. Everything will continue to get better, and at the end of the day you'll be performing like a porn star!

Re: TomFords Joruney
Cheers for the comments men. I appreciate the kind words.
I'm now in the hospital 2 hours post-op and so far everything has gone fantastic. The staff were great and Dr Kramer has came to see me twice and has assured me everything went very smoothly.
So far I've been shocked at how little the pain and discomfort is, all very mild. It may change when the painkillers were off but the worst part of this so far was getting the drip needle put in pre surgery.
Hopefully this continues. I'll be in the hospital until tomorrow with nothing to do but lie here, so you can expect plenty of updates
Tom.
