Day 28 post op.
I've been attempting to inflate the device over the last few days but I've been having a few issues.
Firstly the bulb is INCREDIBLY hard to squeeze. I've been applying full force to it and I'm maybe getting a 1/4 pump. The deflate button is facing backwards so the pump has rotated quite some way. I'm thinking maybe the tubing is twisted making it hard to pump.
I've also noticed on the slight inflation that I've got that the tip of the left cylinder is further forward than the right, making the glans look twisted to the right side somewhat. It's also very painful even with slight inflation. I don't know if the right cylinder isn't far enough forward or the left is too far forward. I'd hate to think it has eroded. The left tip feels very close to surface of the glans.
The pump hasn't moved any lower at all either despite a lot of work on it.
I've email Dr Kramer with these concerns. I wish I could go see him but he's 3000 miles away.
I guess these are the bumps on the road of the bionic journey.

That sounds similar to my problem(s). Well, the tubing thing is not that important, but I'll have it corrected by the way when I let correct the cylinder tip situation. A bulging glans is never ever right! Protrusion is lurking... Stop inflating too much, as you might erode your glans tissue by exerting too much pressure on it!!
My glans is bulging on the left side and twisting to the right on inflation - all that due to the left cylinder tip being positioned too much in front. Same syndrome as yours hence.
Keep on observing it and if it does not get better and keeps on hurting, let it repair!

TomFord,
Do you know if the pump inside you is a Coloplast otr or a Coloplast touch?
The first time I pumped, that "crack" of the pump when it starts working is startling. I thought I might have broken it. But apparently that's just how it works. Mine is so hard to pump that I now have tennis elbow and am trying to get my left grip strong enough to pump it so that I can rest my sore right arm.

Titan Touch installed 12/20/13, Then redone 03/21/14, Then redone again 06/13/14.
Re: TomFords Joruney
The pump does get a little softer and easier with use. When I was first pumping, I found soaking in a very hot bath helped soften the pump.
Sometimes I'll pump and pump and not get that "crack" that you speak of where it starts to work. But I've found if I push the release button again and start pumping, it'll start pumping.

Tom,
I am one week ahead of you and having problem similar to yours. Tried to pump at 28 days but had to wait until day 30. Still really tender. Pumped again today with pain. It seems the tubing is twisted as well as the pump. The handle is sticking outward causing tenderness. Cannot get to deflate completely either. I have had GF try as well as myself. I hope it gets easier with time.

Thailand,
You definatley want to deflate it all the way. Another guy on here did not know how to completely deflate and it ended up causing him a lot of pain. Also I remember reading something about problems with how your body heals around the bulb if it's not completely deflated.
That's why I was asking if TomFord had an OTR or a Touch. The OTR can be tricky to deflate, for some. Kramer has been installing the OTR and Eid the newer Touch. If I were someone about to get a Coloplast, I would ask my doctor to give me a Touch.

Re: TomFords Joruney
Tom, I had my activation day with Dr. Kramer yesterday (30 days out). I had barely touched the apparatus since the surgery. Kramer was able to inflate about 30% before it became too painful. I think that's pretty typical - this study indicates 6 weeks might be a more realistic timeframe. http://ispub.com/IJU/9/4/14361. I used the pump and release for the first time myself last night. I also wasn't able to get much of a pump, and the release was extremely hard to trigger. I'm confident that it will all be much easier in another month, and that this is normal for 30 days out.

TomFord,
How far foward is the longest cylinder tip? I should say how much space is there from the tip to the top of the head, when inflated. Also when inflated how uneven are the two tips?
Mine at times have a evenness variation. If I pump it completely, often they'll not be even. Then I'll manually bend my penis left and right a bit, then they level out. I'm talking 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch.

Re: TomFords Joruney
how is the size of your penis after surgery? is it close to the flaccid stretched or will that take a while? how long is it flaccid/erect? just curious good luck with recovery !!!

Excuse me, but that's impossible! You cannot exchange the pump without changing the whole implant. Pump is fix coupled with cylinders; only reservoir is extra and gets connected by a special interconnector after completion of implantation surgery.
In order to separate pump from implant you've gotta cut the zero degree tubes off.
