Set back in recovery due to playing catch with grandson

Postby Abovedmc » Thu Aug 07, 2014 12:00 am

5 weeks out and doc gave me instructions to inflate and deflalate twice a day. My 11 y/o grandson and I were playing catch with a baseball after he attended a baseball camp this summer. He thew the ball a little short and I reached down to catch it and missed it and it bounced up and hit me on the end of my glans which protrudes a bit even after deflation. Hurt like hell. Later in the house I noticed a couple of drops of blood in urethra. I don't have a bladder after removal fo cancer. I called doc and nurse got back next day and we decided to watch and wait since bleeding stopped and their was no bruising. Two days later it looks like no real damage was done but I suspended inflation for a couple of days. I was really angry with myself since I have been very careful during recovery. I'm 76 and probably haven't played catch in 30 years. I intend to start inflation tomorrow again if everything looks good. Any of you guys whacked your implant?

77 y/o with complete ED after bladder and prostate removal due to bladder cancer. Implanted with AMS 700 LGX 6/27/14 by Dr. Horan in Austin. Very happy with results.
