Just home from the hospital having a different surgery and checked the mail. A statement from my insurance DENYING the implant surgery! Thankfully it was only because the hospital submitted the charges twice... I'm assuming because it took my insurance so frigging long to process the first bill from the hospital. But I got to see the break down of charges and it came to just over $48,000 DOLLARS!
Of course we all know the dance between hospitals and insurance companies, they over bill for everything and the insurance denies part of and they go around and around.
Thankfully my part is only $250!!!
But WOW, 48 grand, that's insane! Guess I better go pump it up and have a wank

How much did that cost!?!?!
51, San Francisco
Diabetic: used pills & injections.
2 TURP surgeries caused Peyronie's. 1st implant lost to infection, 2nd one is about 5 years old. But "floppy head" due to all the scar tissue, couldn't get tips all the way up.

Cost in Australia all up AMS 700 LGX, doctors and two day stay in hospital was just under $20 K AUD of which I was out of pocket $1,700. Cost in the US seems much higher.

Had mine done at by Dr. Douglas Milam at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Total cost was just over $75,000, but it didn't cost me a dime since I have Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield as secondary. Totally pleased with the outcome and highly recommend Dr. Milam and Vanderbilt.
