Black and Blue and Penile Implant

After my surgery the one question I was left wondering about is the reason my penis and scrotum are dark purple. Also, how long will this last?

Hi Shopman. Ive had 3 different penile implants in the last year because of infection. And it takes time to heal, everybody is different. The first implant took me 4 months to heal the second implant took about 6 months and im still healing from the 3rd one right now. I feel like another month will be alot better. So hang in there buddy.

Thanks for your reply. Patients is not one of my strong virtues. But,i'll have to learn to live with it.

Hi Shopman yeah 3 surgeries was a plenty. I dont want to have to go thru this again for a while. I hope we both heal soon

No Two different surgeons. Two scrotals and one infrapubic placement.

Eggplant??? Where did that come from. The color now after 6 days is a kind of reddish.

Think of the discoloration as a bruise. You're shaft has been cored out to make room for the tubes... which were then pushed and pulled into place. Your penis got into a fight with the doctor and the doctor won.
Like any other bruise, it will fade away in a few weeks.

Thanks. If I were just a tad more patient I would find out that you were right. Right now I am 10 days out and the bruising is almost gone. There is one small spot on the end of my dick that is still a light shade of black or blue. So, it's all looking good.
