Get the implant done.

And the likelihood of losing "several inches" is quite low, especially if you have a good surgeon.

i dont think it is that low, almost every one in this forum lost size and a lot of them more than 1 inch

Have you actually gone through the research?? Techniques matter. Picking a high volume surgeon matters.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/25017596/
That is a research paper that demonstrates tha early activation of a penile prosthesis results in an average of a gain of half a centumeter between pre and post op stretch. Early activation is better enabled through an infrapubic approach.
Can good results happen with other techniques, of course. Can bad results happen with this technique, of course. Fact is though, statistically you lose no size with early activation. A new study with over a thousand participants is showing the same thing this far, and it's a proper study, which means people are signed up before surgery and everyone has to be counted. It's the best method. So far, early activation has resulted in gains of girth and length.
No need to trust opinions on here or anecdotal experiences. The solid science says a proper technique combined with early activation is your best bet to not lose any size. That is not opinion, that is fact.

This is completely inaccurate. Some have lost, and some haven't, and you can be sure that people who lost length are much more likely to post about it than those who did not.

Karpman definitely does. I was kept inflated at about 60% for 8 days and have been cucling since day 8, everyday, a minimum of twice a day. It's a pain, but it's how you make sure you get a good result. This requires a lot of work and time and dedication on your part for a minimum of 8 weeks once you start pumping to the max. It's hard work. It's annoying, but it also works and is a minor inconvenience compared to losing length. It's about perspective.
I'm not sure about the others. I'm sure a quick search could answer that for you.
Don't go by anecdotes on here. Go by the research. It's unfeeling and cold, but accurate.
And again, it's statistics. 0.4% infection rate with the new study I believe out of a thousand guys or so. That still means 4 guys had a terrible time. And people that have bad results post more often across all medical boards.
Pick a high volume surgeon. Pick a method that works with the most current research, and that gives you the best chance of having a good outcome. It's not guaranteed, just statistically very likely.

Hi hebrewhammer
what was your size before surgery and what is your size right now?
you have been pumping to the max since day 8 after surgery?
do you still have glans engorgement when arousal?
do you have the same sensitivity?
thanks
Re: why some gets good results and others bad results?
I had my implant about 11 weeks ago, an AMS700 LGX, I have been one of the lucky ones so far, up to and for at least the first 4-6 weeks after surgery I was paranoid about infection, size was never a real issue, having a working dick was, sensitivity was. Within the first few weeks I had regained sensitivity, one small scare re infection but it turned out to be a part of the wound healing process, size when flaccid had increased immediately and once I was able to pump to the max which I don't think I have achieved as yet my erect dick is back to its original length with no loss, sure I did not have the problems that others have suffered from prior surgeries. As it is I don't pump to the max for my wife and I to enjoy intercourse, 8 good pumps and we are ready to go and very satisfied, after years of not enjoying intimate love making I can truley say that I am fucking happy that I did not talk myself out of having this opportunity to really enjoy the rest of our lives together in a truley intimate way. And yes I do get gland engorgement still I did not expect it but the head of my dick is warm and full of colour when I get aroused.
