The thing that scares me (among other things) is the loss of size. When my member is at full staff it is nearly 7 inches. My erections were that long when I was young and in college and they are about that way now when I take Viagra and with the injections.
Otherwise, my erections these days are about 5.5-6 inches right before I ejaculate (I am typically hard only at the end). I did the "stretch" test and I'm about at 5.5 inches.
Perhaps this is an issue that will be resolved with implants in the near future as it seems to concern and affect so many?
You might have gotten some fibrosis around your corpora as well as tunica due to the injections. The more you inject, the more fibrotic gets your spongy tissue. One more good reason for switching to an implant ASAP!!
Didn't your urologist tell about the drawbacks of injecting?
Go get an implant by an excellent surgeon, that guarantees for maximum length. Maximum means as much as possible without buckling which is the result of too much.
After 15-20 years of rich sexual life with your implant your corpora's size will still extend such you might get a larger implant on 1. revision. Given the implant won't last life long without any defect…
I knew well about the drawbacks. It's easy to ignore when the injections work so well (too well sometimes, who wants an erection for 3 hours?). After the last aforementioned injection I was scared to death that I had Peyronie's disease but my symptoms abated and I seem basically ok now (except for the ED) and I have no plaques or bending. I developed what's known as a Lymphocele, however, which was initially quite sore but now it is small and doesn't cause problems. I will DEFINITELY see the best surgeon possible if I go through with it. Dr. Eid and Dr. Kramer are two that seem to be at the top of the list. Any other suggestions? I will start with a cautious consultation, maybe this summer when I have time off. Instead of the pump, I was thinking there could be a battery powered penile implant in the near future. Why not? The pump seems kind of unpleasant. My life is pretty good career wise but with ED a family and a meaningful relationship is ruled out. It seems too good to be true that it would work so well, but the satisfaction rates seem high. How about the revisions? How could that not cause damage and work less well after each revision? Has anyone had such a revision?
