It has been about a 4 year wait, but I am going to finally get my implant (a Titan) this Thursday (1/8/2015).
The big hold up was getting insurance to pay for it. I have new insurance and they are going to cover it.
I have not written much of anything in Franktalk the last 4 years.
I would like to thank all of you that have written in, the things you have written have been a key element in helping me make an informed decision.

I scheduled to join the bionic brotherhood on the 19th. It was reading comments here for close to 6 month that finally convinced me a implant was the way to go.
Tried pills, didn't work. Used injections, but finally they stopped working as well as they should. I have to admit that the first time my doctor suggested injections, my reaction "your going to inject WHERE!" Turned out the injection was no big deal. But now I'm taking the final step.
age 80. Prostate removed (cancer) 20 years ago. ED resulted. 19+ years did nothing. Tried pills, vacuum pump (HATED IT), injections worked sometimes, but not dependable. Presently have a inflatable, worked the 1st year. Not working for me now.

Sitting here in the hotel room. 13 hours from now I will be across the street getting my implant. I'm not one bit nervous. That is because of the research. A lot of it on franktalk.

Hoping all went well and that you're having a good recovery! A month from now, any pain will seem like a distant memory. A month out and I remember it was annoying, but it's NOTHING compared to having a cock that works when you wil want it to for as long as you want, that is harder than it ever was!! Get through this annoying time and you'll have good times around the corner!!!!

Re: Going Bionic this week - I am now on the other side
It is official. I became Bionic yesterday at sometime between 12:00PM - 2:30 PM.
I woke up with most of my equipment completely wrapped up in bandages.
I was left completely inflated till the next day. The doctor then brought it down to about 40%. It will be like that for the next 6 weeks until I get activated.
The bandages were taken off this morning and it is not a pretty site. My scrotum is the size of a small grapefruit. I have been keeping plenty of ice on it.
However, I haven't seen the swelling go down yet. It is only the second day.
There isn't much pain other than a lot of discomfort walking around with a 24/7 Hard-on. It has been a long time since I had one of those. Even at 40% it would be useable.
I keep telling my wife how lucky she is.
I had this done by a Dr. Aaron Lentz at Duke Urology, Duke Hospital in Raleigh, NC. He does a lot of implants. This week he was scheduled for 6 of them (3 on Wed & 3 on Thur). He did 5, the 6th person had last minute insurance problems.
I have been treated in 3 different hospitals. Duke Hospital Raleigh, NC is a first class operation. The service was polite, thorough and very professional. I would easily give them 5 out of 5 stars.
Even the coffee in the cafeteria was exceptional.
I will keep you posted, especially about the swelling.
