Just signed up yesterday and enjoy hearing how everyone's dealing with this miserable problem. Just to let you know a little about me...I'm a 62 year old with Diabetes, type II. I'm a cancer survivor. Had a robotic radical prostectomy in Apr 2008 and have maintained a zero PSA since, thank God. I had some ED issues before the prostate surgery, but of course, afterward, there was nothing there. It's gotten slightly better, but only slightly. I use injections of Trimix and/or pills and can get some reaction. The Trimix works the best for me. But I've been considering an implant. My urologist gave me a 3 week supply of daily Cialis and that's done zero for me. It's as though I'm not even taking it. I read the posts here about implants with great interest. For those of you who don't know, after a protatectomy, you cannot ejaculate. You have the sensation, but no fluid. Actually, in my case, the sensation is more intense now than before. I was amazed that you could masturbate and have the ejaculation sensation without an erection. Of course, that doesn't help in bed. My wife has a hard time with the unnaturalness of the injections and pills and that's why I'm considering an implant. Sorry I've kind of wandered around the subject. There are lots of guys on the site with implant experience. No doubt you will be hearing from many of them. I am able to use trimix successfully, so implants are not something I know about firsthand. However, I sense that the day may come when pharmaceuticals no longer do the trick, so I am also interested in hearing implant stories. For starters, I would suggest that you go and read all of the posts under the Implant section of the Dicussion Forums. There's a ton of info already there just waiting for you. Come see us in the Chat Room. It's a great experience.

Welcome! I'm with you except for the diabetes. The PCa stuff are a huge hit but this is a good place. Like you I was amazed at the increased intensity of my climax after surgery. Wow!! In, my case it usually also seems to last longer and that is a plus. But the lack of true hardness, most of the time, does wear on you. I also had no effect with the daily Cialis an M and M would have been more helpful I think . . .. I have found that pumping has helped me a great deal.

There is enough experience here to probably open an Implant University so talk to these guys about their experience. While I'm not there at least yet, there seems to be a lot of happiness after the implant. Send a private message to any of these guys and talk away. Also join the chat room and engage any and all of us.

Another guy here has talked about adjusting to the "new reality," and it's also a new reality for our spouses. I still have my prostate and sometimes use a c0ck & ball ring to keep it up. Even that took some adjustment for my wife, but after she saw how much it helped, she once asked (when I was having problems keeping an erection), "So where's that ring thingy?"

That being said, if your wife thinks injections and pills are unnatural, an implant isn't any more "natural." Maybe some of us can give you some ideas on how to help your wife adjust to the new you, whatever that looks like. See you in chat!

Thank you all for your replies. I will hopefully come to some decision this year regarding to implant or not. We see my urologist next week...he wants to talk to both of us. Stay well, everyone.
