Over time, I have found that my trimix prescription does not do the job it use to…..
My prescription comes from Wedgewood Pharmacy and is labeled "Tri-Mix Standard" on the 10ml vial
On the side it says-
Prostaglandin E1 5.88 ug/ml
Papaverine HC1 18.0 mg/ml
Phentolamine Mesylate 0.6 mg/ml
How does this strength compare to what others are getting….weak ? Medium ?, strong ?
It says "Standard" on the label, but not sure how that would compare to other prescriptions others are getting.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Curt

Re: Trimix Strength
That was the strength I started with two years ago, I started with 10 units at first and gradually worked up to 20 units to get something useful. After the first year I got my script changed to what is in my signature, I can get an usable erection injecting 10-15 units for the last year, without having to increase dosage, I can get a nice erection with 5 units, just not hard enough for intercourse, but nice for my own pleasure.I suppose I could go to the 30-1-10 mcg formula, but I am very happy with the flexibility this formula gives me.I might add that I have never had a miss-fire, and sometimes I inject twice a day with no adverse reactions at all...............very, very happy with it
Radical prostatectomy Mar . 2010 age 63 , everything good except for ED . Have tried the big three pills , VED , and Muse , results unsatisfactory . My trimix formula is : 25MG Papa ,.8 MG Phento , 8 MCG /M PGE 1

Re: Trimix Strength
I started with the same formula three years ago. In fact it came from Wedgewood. I started at 45 units and after a year, I was able to get good results with 12 units. However, after a year I had to slowly increase the dose up to 45 units. I had the Uro double the formula but after a few months I still need 45 - 50 units of the higher strength formula to get a decent erection.

Re: Trimix Strength
I’ve been on trimix for a little over a year. Very happy with results but mystified about the formula I’ve been prescribed.
I’ve read as many of the Frank Talk posts on trimix formulas as I can find. Here’s a summary:
Papaverine — always 27 to 30 mg (usually 30)
Phentolamine — 0.5 to 1 mg
PGE — 10 to 50 mg
And here’s mine:
Papaverine — 75 mg (???)
Phentolamine — 2.5 mg (???)
PGE — 50 mg
Mind you, this is the formula the doc started me on, not something we had to work up to. I’m taking 10 to 15 units at a pop.
Explanations welcome. Anybody got an idea?
