Another Question about pain

Postby george » Mon May 25, 2015 12:17 pm

Hi,

I had my implant surgery on Dec. 2010. with normal recovery, and very good outcome. Here is my situation, two months ago my family physician diagnosed me with low testosterone blood levels due to age and the medication that I am
prescribed. He started me on bi-weekly testosterone injections, and follow-up blood tests every 2-3 months, in addition he mentioned the risks/benefits involved.
The results have been fantastic. My wife and I are going nuts with each other, we act like teenage newly-weds. This starts about 2 days after the injection and lasts for about 10 days. We have never been this close to each other in the last 40 years of marriage. We will spend half a day together, and use a personal lubricant to keep each other comfortable. My only concern is that I am starting to have twinges of pain from the tubing in my scrotum to the reservoir in my abdomen. This has never been a problem before. My question is, has anybody ever pulled apart the tubes from the pump to the reservoir and cause the implant to malfunction? We both realize that moderation would be well advised, but when we start something this exciting it's hard to slow down. It makes us both so happy to be together. Any comments from this group of fellows would be appreciated.

My T was very low (135) and I got it up to nearly 500 with Androgel. I didn't experience any benefit at all, though - no libido, no energy boost, none of the benefits you see described all over the interwebs. Re your implant, I've never experienced the discomfort you're describing - have you asked your doc about this?

Thanks for the reply. They inject in my hip 200mg/ml of Testosterone Cypionate every 2 weeks. I am seeing my family Doc. this week, and will ask if I should see a Uro MD. Everything has been working really good, and I don't want to tear everything apart.

Hard to imagine that anything short of a kick or punch in the groin would cause properly connected tubing to come apart and it appears to have been connected correctly to be working this long. That said I can imagine that since the tubing to the reservoir could be pressed on particulary with woman on top that it could become irritated after more aggressive sex where the pelvic bones push against each other. Sounds like a good problem to have but not a dangerous one George. :-) Hope this helps. Check with your implant surgeon or local doc just to be sure but likely just pressure from lots of fun.
