Drawing blood

I'm sure some of you more experienced injectors can answer this, but I have just started trimix and have been unable to pull back on the syringe to get a little telltale blood (which presumably shows you've hit the right spot). It is just too awkward to do this since the penis has to be held with one hand along with having to move up to the plunger and pull back. I'd love to hear the techniques you guys use.

I don't worry about holding the penis (sounds so impersonal lol) after getting into the cavernosa. Just withdraw the plunger a couple units and if blood doesn't enter, withdraw the needle a bit and it usually does. I swear by that technique.

I just hold the syringe and my penis in one hand and use the other hand to withdraw the plunger. If the plunger is hard to pull back you're in the wrong spot. The right spot is always characterised by blood in the syringe and no extra pressure when withdrawing the plunger. I always find as well that the minor pain/sensation of the needle going in completely dissapears when you hit the right spot.

I have been injecting trimix for over 4 years.... and never bothered with the "blood withdrawl" , just being sure you have inserted the needle all the way in (to the hub of the syringe) makes it work for me.

Try both ways just to satisfy yourself which you felt better with.

It's a matter of what works for the individual, I never drew blood in my early years and rarely had a failure but a Urologist told me years ago that blood withdrawal was the best way to be sure of the desired result.

just wondering what the most common length needle is used. i use a 30mm 1/2in needle. i read that some use a 5/16in needle. i generally push all the way down to the hub as some call it.
what's the best? i know each of us are different in girth but 3/16 isn't much.

I use a 1/2 inch 29 gauge needle.

I had used the 1/2" needle, but they are no longer av in Canada so I went to a 5/16" and that works fine. I have never read anything or was never told about withdrawing blood being the signal one had hit the right spot.

I tried Bill's method with the 5/16" needle and was having success. The last time I tried it I bent 2 needles with no penetration to the sweet spot. It freaked me out since I was very afraid of snapping one off. I returned to the old 1/2" 29 gauger. The 31 gauge was pretty painless when it worked.
