Hello from OH-IO

Postby cwbobs » Thu Jun 11, 2015 5:15 pm

My name is Bob and I am 69 years old. I live in northwest Ohio with my wonderful wife and soulmate of 47 years. I must admit I've been a member for some time now. My ED problem has been getting worse over a long period of time. Several years ago my Dr. put me on viagra and it worked for a while and then he had to increase the dose every so often until the last time I tried it, all I got was a bad headache and it felt like my heart was going to explode and the little lady said no more. My Dr. said there was nothing more he could do and referred me to an urologist. But then the bottom fell out. It was discovered that I had a large mass on my right kidney-oh yeah it was cancer. A week later it was out and every thing looked good until my second follow up found three small tumor seeds and a biopsy confirmed the cancer was back. The tumors were to small to operate so for the past year I have been on a cancer targeting drug. It's not chemo and the side effects aren't as bad, but there are some really bad side effects. Anyway the past three follow ups have shown no evidence of cancer. For the past two years I felt I should concentrate all my efforts on beating the cancer. But after talking with my cancer doctor, he felt it would be okay to pursue treatment for my ED. So I have made an appointment with my urologist. My attitude, considering all my medical problems and my age, is what ever it takes.

Thank you for your encouragement! I must admit, I've been reading posts for a long time dreaming of what could be, but afraid it would never happen. But now I have a chance and I plan to make the most of it. What ever it takes-one step at a time.
