Should I Still Use Trimix Even if It Expired in May?

Postby alterr » Tue Aug 04, 2015 4:17 am

I was prescribed trimix in the fourth week of April. But the expiration date says May 17. I used it a couple of times just last week and the week before in July which was very effective in giving me a strong erection. But considering that its expiration is set May 17, should I still use it? Is it sterile? Will it affect the health of my penis?
ED since 1996. Peyronies in 2012. PRP in 2013 and 2017. Dr. Brock, urology, NC, USA. Cialis and Viagra stopped working since 10/2017. Haven't been on Trimix since 3/2016. Will consider injecting it again. Will be prescribed testosterone injections soon.

I have used mine way past the expiration date...from what I have read, if the mix becomes "cloudy" it is no good anymore. You will find that as time marches on that it might become less effective for you, it did for me and I just increased the amount I injected and have had good results using it all up. Keep it refrigerated and it lasts a long time.

Cheers,

Curt

Hi Curt (a.k.a. trimix60).. I appreciate the response. I got 2 questions:

1) I used both trimix and 20mg of viagra last week, which is something that’s not recommended. This is the 1st time I used both at the same time. But I used half the usual dosage of trimix. I used both because 10 minutes after injecting the trimix, I didnt feel any erection. Thats when I took viagra. I got an erection that was somewhat painful. I was able to have sex twice. The erection lasted an hour and a half and the pain went away. But usually when I take Viagra, I’m able to still get erections fora few days after taking it. But this time I didnt get any erections 1 or 2 days afterwards. Do you think my penis got affected somehow?

2) I got a new vial of trimix just yesterday. I usually store it in the refrigerator. But along with the trimix a note was attached that said to store it in the freezer. As soon as I got the trimix I kept it in the fridge. I kept it there for 6 hours until I decided to put it in the freezer. Should I keep it in the freezer or the fridge?

Not sure about #1 I don't know how the two would interact with each other and what the effects would be...I have no experience with using both at the same time.

#2- There are different opinions about freezing trimix and I am certainly not an expert...people freeze and claim it lasts longer...I just put mine in the refer but you should follow the instructions and it will be fine...maybe it will last longer if you don't use it up first :-)

Cheers,

Curt

Don't forget that pharmacies protect themselves relative to the expiry date of prescriptions of all types to protect them from public backlash of lack of effectiveness. Secondly don't forget they are in the business of making money.......
