I have to say that any post I do find helpful, negative or positive. wheras I completely understand gollam for his distress a few things sound strange to me - hence would be great if he clarfied:

1. Did the sclero help or not eventually - it sounds as if you have more success in intercourse after the surgery (as per your last post) so how have you established that you have deteriorated?

2. In my clinical report it said that the treatment might be unsuccesful and that there might be post-op complications - where you not informed of this possibility?

3. the other unsuccesful case reported here seems to be a return to pre-op so not really worsening (seeking) which is the worrying outcome.

In my case, if I decided to go ahead it would be in full knowledge, so not sure what is the problem? What concerns me is the support they give if there is a problem...Gollam cxan you tell us what was your experience on that? wwhere they helpful or dismissive?

Overall, I have suffered from this shit all my life and been to numerous doctors - the guys at London andorlogy have been very supportive and honest so I am bit concerned if you had such a different experience.

The thing that bothers me the most is that nobody can really tell why men with venous leak cant keep an erection.
The underlying dysfunctions are not understood. Its a disease that has such an impact on mens lifes i cant understand how this topic isnt more communicated, so that doctors and medicians start to really focus on that underlying issus....

Men with this disease should start to make that topic bigger, go to the press, so that doctors/academics are starting to care.

I have extensively researched venous leak for several years, as I suffered from it all my life until I was implanted. My conclusion is that at this time, surgery to treat venous leak is still experimental. Some ppl have better results than others, but unfortunately the results never last too long. I have been in contact with several ppl that have had these surgeries, and
most of them failed. Some lasted a couple years, then the limp penis and all the psychological problems that come with it reappear. Perhaps in the future a cure will be found. As of now, the only real solution is an implant imo.

Iam in the same position ED2013,
did a lot of research but never found anything promising.
Yeah perhaps, but one cant ely on the future when it comes to life quality.
Iam now at the point of life where i have tried many things but all fail. The depressions and sadness is eating me up.
Its now time for me to make the final descision regarding an implant.

10-15 years but some less than that

Actually I don't think that's too weird at all, and is something I believe could be related to venous leak. I've had haemorrhoides (surgically removed), varicocele's (still have) and venous leak (fixed by sclerotherapy).

I've spoken to my uro about it before and he said it is all caused by a similar condition/defect with the veins. I also think that low testosterone may have a role to play in it, although that's just based on my experience.

As for an update, I'm still doing well - and am getting good erections when i want and wake up with hard morning wood most mornings. I am still taking the 5mg cialis and probably will indefinitely as it's beneficial and healthy for the penis. I usually take viagra before sex (till I am over the mental component), although I have had sex about 3 times where it was spontaneous and I didn't have any viagra before - all times I managed to complete and the latest time my erection was rock hard the whole time.

I've been working with my uro on getting my hormones in balance, as per my previous posts. So I think this combined with the sclerotherapy has really benefited my case.

Its pretty sure that Hormones have just an minor effect on the erection, they more effect the libido.
Hormone issues are the least diagnosed (If at all) reason of Venous Leak ( about 5 %).
